So I see that it can inflict disarm but is that if the attackers physical resistis lower than kiyokos spellpower or the character who's getting hit, if its the latter is there a companion set that works well with this?

I THINK it's a roll, with Kiyoko adding her spellpower in order beat the "DC" of the enemy's physical resistance.
The best companion sets would be any that buff Kiyoko's spellpower, so Agni with her fire outfit, Arona in her Chieftan's set, Etheryn with her healer set, etc. I think your Leadership stat also directly increses the spellpower and attack power of your companions, but they may have changed how that works.
