How do you get out of the maze in your tent?

Every time I accidentally push the maze option I have no clue how to get back, plus what's the maze for in the first place?

The exit in the bottom right,,, the maze only available in debug mode if i'm not mistaken, but i don't know the purpose of the maze

Probably to test maze-code.
