I've read over the wiki for the quest and have re-done the KM feast multiple times to see if I picked a wrong option with Varena somewhere, but I still haven't gotten the quest. Is there a specific thing I have to do to get it or does it just appear after a while and I need to wait?

Just walk around Khor'minos City for a bit. You should get a letter from Varena eventually; talk to her at Ember's to start the quest.
