Probably one of the more prolific furry smut games out there, High Tail Hall has a long (and hard) history, full of ups and downs, twists and turns, praise and controversy.

So, because no one else has done it (and I have nothing better to do), I have decided to start up this thread. Post your thoughts, opinions, whatever you want regarding the game and it's creators!

Edit: And in case you've never heard of it before; https://www.hthstudios.com

You really need to add a list of pairings and fetishes before you link to stuff like this. I've never heard of this game, but I really don't want to see a bunch of breasts when I click something, furry or otherwise.

I played the original back when it was just a free flash game floating around the net and it was pretty good for the day. I had another look at their site not too long ago, actually, and it looks really very good, but yeah, the register to even play the free version is a big turn-off for me. Maybe later.

I never understood why people are so aversed to registering. If the content interests you then why are you so hang on that small detail? Is it because you don't want to receive ads or other unwated stuff? Laziness? Are you afraid of compromising your info? I had a friend who was the exact same thing, super interested in something only to turn his nose when he found out he needed to register. Like... why?

I must admit I hate the way they chose to present their game. Is way too big and complex to be a .swf file. There are several locations for you to explore with their own sub-sections, all with a loading screen in-between. It doesn't work properly on chrome (firefox just barely) and clicking on characters seems to do nothing, not to mention moving around is laggy as heck. I think either Ren'py or Unity would have been a better choice for this kind of game. There's a character creator but its very incomplete and has no image whatsoever, plus no gender preference for whom you want to meet. The art looks like something you'd find in a late 2000's flash game, if you catch my drift. All in all, it needs some SERIOUS improvement before I ever truly dip my toes on this one.

Well, I'm already not that interested. And yeah, part of it is definately laziness. Would probably never have checked out CoC or TiTS either, if it required a registration.

Giving any personal info at all over to smut peddlers is even shadier than the usual prospect of giving it to something you're not sure about.

I vaguely remember the old flash game and also trying the updated version once with a throwaway email. If I'm remembering right it's a poorly optimized and bizarre-looking thing that reeks of fremium mobile games -and- every terrible flash game from the early 00s.

Well it started as a flash game in the early 00s, so I guess that makes sense. I think the last time I looked into HTH was 4 or 5 years ago and it still looked like a crappy alpha. Even if more has been added lately the game has been in development too long to be any good.

And I definitely hate registering for anything. Spam from commercial sites is bad enough without the added viral risk that comes from just visiting most porn sites.

Without any kind of third-party anti-viral program, I'm fairly certain my PC wouldn't have lasted 6 months without a major infestation.

I think they need to come up with a legislation that forces entities to implement an option for us to opt out of spam/ad emails whenever we make a new account on a new website. I don't mind registering to gain access to stuff I like but if I'm going to get bombarded with ad shit in the next couple of days then we have a problem. Unsubing usually requires you to OPEN said spam and clicking on them, which is risky by itself.
