Has TiTS effectively become pay to play only now?

Hi, so first off I don't mind the whole pay to get version early method, but I fell like this game has gone over board with that just slightly and possible seems to be heading far more in to pay to play only given what seems to be a utter lack of new content in free release. Looking through the lists of short change logs that have been posted I am happy to see the game is being developed a lot as their multiple patches frequently, but it seems the public version has fallen behind/been mostly forgotten. While I understand that people are busy and it wouldn't help monetarily to instantly put everything out to the public instantly; I found the wording in the July 2 and July 3rd posts to be....almost "disturbing" (I don't know what other word to use). That is to say scrolling around the list I see the private build has lots of new content (yay) but given the wording of these two posts it makes it seems as though the public build to be released will only have one new 2500-6400 word scene (which is impressive), which it also seems is being cut down as "1k" words are apparently for status based descriptions and such and a optional ball worship part will not be making it into the public release (for unknown reasons, THOUGH IT IS MENTIONED it is possible to be released latter the same day). Now this may just be me being a lil paranoid in developers given the large shit storm that has been happening in the gaming industry right now, but given the wording, mostly it only focusing on mentioning one scene and nothing else, it feels like the new public release will just be that one scene, and nothing of the content from the private build (which is 0.0.007 ahead of public and seems to be getting new content and/OR revisions/bug fixes frequently (about a month or less). Now while I understand people need to get paid; the thing that drew me to COC and thus led me to TiTS was that even if you are unable to lend monthly support on Patreon you would still be able to play new content, and at the time it seemed like you wouldn't have to wait that long which maid it seem less like private and public build and more of an option for "express shiping".

You're being paranoid. While the devs may write about various interactions dicks are involved in I doubt they themselves are dicks. Plus it's only part one so far of the public patch, so yeah. Wait and see. Even if loads of jack is expected, and at the end you get diddly, you still can't raise a hub bub about getting squat, mostly because you're getting shit for free.

If I were you I'd be more worried about them recycling character types into different species, which seems like it might turn into a bit of a plague and they're not even half-way into development.

My only criticism on the current system is that they don't wait a day or 2 and release a public patch with a lot of bug fixes for the non backers

This isn't E.A. The public patches come out once a month around the start of the month. All the fancy stuff you see in the backers will be available the following month. It's how the games get made they need funding and the backer system works well. To summarize all content you see in the backers will come out soon. No less than the people who paid to back. So there is no lack of content.

Goodness. To be fair, so far I have found that Fen and co have done a good job in supporting pubic patches, including adding in updates to fix broken bits and bobs when they happen. Yes, the public updates are like once a month, but, heck, they are free. Not something people are paying for. YOu want the more often updates, drop the 5 bucks a month to get the backer updates. Backers are not getting anything 'just for them' no 'loot boxes' or other crap, they just get the game quicker.Heck, most times they deal with a lot more bugs than the public patches. When it gets to the public patch, most of the bugs have been ironed out allready. Hell, if I had plastic I would probably get the backer thing myself, if only cause there are bits of tits I really enjoy.

Everything that comes out in backer patches *also* is available in the next public patch. Literally 0 content is Backers-only when public updates drop. Lurk more.
