Giving Cait the Grimescore

I took Cait on the "Howling in the Dark" quest but when I got the sword there was no Cait option only myself or Drifa
is there some prerequisite that I missed?

Did you give her the Rimebound Grimoire beforehand from Senja?

If you did, Cait has a Frostheart Set available in her character sheet. If you haven't, the book will still be at Senja's shop.

Thanks but it was in my key items I just hadn't worked out how to trigger the Cait conversation

It's in the Give Items under her talk menu.

I was expecting a talk "book" or "Quest" option. I didn't even consider that it would be under give item as that is normally just for her "Jiggly medicine"
