Was thinking of doing a write up of a recurring NPC inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing and the Rev-9 Terminator and is based on the concept of a potentially dangerous alien lifeform that does not wish for its existence to be discovered by the UGC and blends in using freaky shapeshifting abilities.
The NPC can first appear on Tarvos as a random Bar Encounter appearing as a tall buff human woman in casual attire that Steele can try to strike up a conversation with them as if everything is fine albiet with the NPC giving conflicting answers on questions of their personal life sometimes. Later, Steele has a low chance to find them as a one-per-planet rare encounter on any planet to find them breaking their disguise to feed away from prying eyes via assimilating the biomass of an alien local to the planet (Naleen on Mhen'ga, Sydian on Tarkus, Bothrioc on Myrellion, etc) into themselves while Steele remains hidden. Steele then has three options:
1) Pretend they didn't see anything and later random bar encounters with the NPC will have subtly change to dialogue over time hinting to their true nature hiding just under the surface and Steele's mounting horror as they runs into more of those feeding encounters. Eventually, they can either choose the other two options below or try to continue to pretend everything's fine to which ends with a Bad Ending the next time Steele runs into a feeding encounter where Steele is the victim this time.
2) Confront the NPC at any random Bar Encounter on any Planet. This will completely drop all pretense and the NPC will offer an explaination as long as Steele swears to secrecy. Refusing to do so just removes the NPC from the game. Accepting will completely change the dialogue with them going forwards and Steele can actually learn about who/what they are. This also unlocks the sex option and progressively opens up different sex scenes over time as Steele learn about them. Feeding Encounters continue as normal and change as Steele has no reason to hide after promising to not tell anyone what they saw as well as opening up potential dialogue.
3) Report the NPC to the UGC as a potentially undiscovered alien species. This option can be chosen any time and Steele is given a cash reward for gathering data on this new lifeform with payout size depending on their approach. If Steele pretended everything was fine around the NPC and never confronted them, the payout will be determined by how many feeding encounters Steele has the data gathered will be from biological scans from their Codex. If Steele confronts the NPC and then goes back on their word to not tell anyone, the payout will be dependent on how much they learned about the NPC's true nature on top as well as how many feeding encounters Steele has witnessed which has this option lead to the highest potential reward. Either way, if Steele reports these findings to the UGC, the NPC will be removed from the game and a new Codex Entry will be added a few days later based on your findings of this newly discovered lifeform.
As for sex scenes, so far I only got rough ideas but most of them involve the NPC basically fusing with Steele's body in one way or another to do some weird mind meld/possession sex stuff.
