Just wanted to pop in and state my appreciation for the Frostwyrms, their interactions and dialogs.

They've really made my day sometimes.

Its also been nice learning their official names are Frosty and Flurry.
I called them Glacier and Borealis on my playthrough incase anyone is curious.

My only feedback is that when breeding with them; Frosty will kick me out onto either the shore or iverstead.

But if i breed with Flurry (the smaller shafted male you can give throbb), i'm able to continue on perusing the options in the lair.

I like the idea that theres a communication error between the Qim's way of thinking vs the Qal's, and its assumed by Frosty that leaving her side means you want to be dropped off outside the cave. Like when a cat stares at a door and they get confused when its opened.

But thats not the main point; thank you. Mystery writers and coders, for two (three including the half-frostwyrm, the name of which I'm currently forgetting.) fantastic characters and for taking the time to share them with us.

I'm glad you enjoyed their content that much! It really makes my day to hear when someone enjoys my writing.

Just so you know: Frosty and Flurry are their project names - generic shorthand used for Discord, or here on the forums. Their official names are Valrynn (for Frosty) and Alrythe (for Flurry). They each have unique reactions to their names if you call them that.

Thanks for all the frostwyrm content. I am curious if you plan to have any future content for Nykke, Valrynn and Alrythe? I am just curious.

P.S. This is just a hypothetical question, but if you decided to make an expansion to make it where Nykke could join the crew, how do you think Nykke would react to the other crew members or the ship? Again, I am not asking if you will make a recruitment expansion for Nykke, I was just curious how you think you would make a recruitment path for her play out.

Of course! Thats why I made an account here; to thank you for your effort. Its nice to be told your art, time and work is appreciated. And the joy that their plotline gives me meant i wanted to repay the favour. I'm sure it brings a grin to many people.

Valrynn and Alrythe, gotcha! Thank you for the extra clarification! When I next play through i'll likely give them their official names. Always fun to know!
I'm probably going to go look up the meanings behind their names now.

Thanks again for the scenes! and also for replying to a fan!

Haha, there's no need to be so nervous. I'm just a guy that wrote a thing.

I actually did this thought experiment before, but in reverse: how the others would react to Nykke. Most of them would probably be some level of "wow, cool!" or "wow, sexy!", but Eitan in particular would be more "holy SHIT, [pc.name] you did WHAT"

Nykke, meanwhile, would probably react to most of the other crew politely, inquisitively, but mostly without a lot of sexual interest - Qims can only receive sexual pleasure from their Qals, so she wouldn't be a lot of fun for others. She wouldn't even be a ton of fun in threesomes. She would, however, react a bit differently to all the Ausar on the crew, since she herself is half-Ausar.

As for more content: there's always room for more sex content, but there's not a lot of wiggle room left for more story content. Outside of good endings, there will never be a third pureblood Frostwyrm. I'm not certain what other directions the story could even go. I entertained the idea of maybe finding a Frostwyrm fossil that turned out to be the Grand Qim and then cloning it with Lessau's help, essentially rebirthing Frostwyrm Jesus, but that's pretty extremely unlikely to be a thing. And before anyone suggests: making Frosty, Flurry, or Nykke a crewmate have all been considered, and Fen even approved making Frosty one, but I eventually decided against it, because none of them would ever leave their kips while they got in a pressurized metal tube and left the planet.

Frosty gets a ton of love from a very dedicated fanbase. Some people think that Paige is my most popular character, and they might be right, since she's more vanilla and far easier to encounter, but Frosty's fanbase is way more dedicated, I think. I cherish every Frostwyrm OC and every bit of fanart that I get for them.

I'm pretty sure the names don't mean anything, and they're just generic fantasy names. You could try asking Savin, since he named all three of them (fun fact: Frosty was originally his character, but she was originally just meant to be an encounter and a bad end. Everything including and after Frosty propositioning you after she beats you is all me. Alrythe and Nykke are wholly mine, too), and I just adopted her.

And, of course! I always have time to listen to a fan blow smoke up my ass, haha

Fair enough and thanks for answering my question. The reason I only asked about Nykke having a recruitment path was because I realized that Frosty and Flurry would be unlikely since they might be a bit too big to fit inside the ship and that Nykke would be the most likely to fit.

Years and years ago. I could probably find the receipts if I really cared to. The idea was that you'd need to upgrade your ship at least once, and Frosty could stay in the cargo hold.

Well lemme pile on then: Paige and the Frostwyrms are some of my favorite characters in the whole game, so thank you for making them. (Big fan of some of your COC2 stuff too, but that's for a different thread).
..... fuck now I really wanna see that.....
Would be sick, but the logistics of it are absolutely crazy. Like, first of all you'd have to leave the babies home without either parent. Second, with Frosty being described as almost the size of your dad's Caztech alone, you would probably need either 10 to 20 crew spaces for just her, or a whole custom ship that's big enough to transport a Frostwyrm (which, again, would be sick, but the babies...)

Plus, even if you did have a ship big enough, I can't imagine she'd be comfortable in there. She'd need time to get out and stretch her wings often, and most of the planets aren't exactly Frostwyrm-friendly. The Myr would probably panic and try to shoot her down with AA guns, half the planets are probably too warm for her, I don't think she even she fits ANYWHERE in Zheng Shi. Etc.

(You'd then also run into plotholes like "why doesn't my dragon wife who I'm psychically bonded to not simply swoop down and crater this enemy?"). It's tough.

See, now you've put the idea in my head that along with her tagging along in the cargo bay, you gain an ability to psionically call her in to do a strafing run with her ice breath like Eagle 1 from Helldivers.

Dude, I cannot tell you how much I'd love that. Games that let you sic a dragon on someone like an airstrike are the best. Alas!

I once came up with a sort of headcannon fanfic thing where Steele squares off against a bunch of poachers along with the wyrms and their kids. Maybe it could be something like in CoC1 where you play as Urta for a bit?

This was another concern that I had whenever the content comes up, yeah. The only planet that Frosty would enjoy visiting is Mhen'ga, and even then, she'd find the humidity and atmosphere crippling.

Maybe it's not beyond the scope of having on-command lucid dreams, where you fall asleep with her, and then you dream that you're visiting these planets with her. "It was all a dream" is a fat copout that I hate using, but it's either that or nothing, similar to CoC2's Oma Dragon scenes.

You could do something where she uses your bond to see other planets through your eyes temporarily and comment on them, but I dunno if that fits with how their powers work in the lore or if it's really worth the effort for a couple of lines on each planet.

The dream idea could be cool, if you spin it right. Like you go to sleep in the den, and via her psychic powers the two of your experience a realistic dream about a planet of your choice. Frolicking in the fields of New Texas, flying over the sprawling cityscape of Dhaal, etc.

Either way, I don't think it's something she really needs. I'll never say no to more dragon content of course, but it wouldn't add much beyond just being fun, lighthearted fluff.

Regarding planets frostwyrms could visit. Technically speaking, they could all visit dhaal, so long as they stayed on the frozen side.
