Frostwyrm pregnancy question

Heyaa still new to the tits games and tits forum...feels weird there isn't a thread for asking questions...

But anyway! My question is: Why doesn't the speed multiplier for PC's preg speed apply to frostwyrm pregnancy? Is this a bug or intentional? If it is intentional, why doesn't the speed modifier apply for frostwyrms?

I mean I love frosty's preg content! Frosty is great and her scenes are top-down one of the best PC preg scenes! But her pregnancy is....really long. Not that I want Steele to be egg popping broodmare in the level of raskvel pregnancy(cause PC can pop out like 20+eggs in like 2 days...yikes), but how is Steele supposed to repopulate Frosty's species without it going like 20+years?

Probably because the scene explicitly says 'four months' and doesn't account for speed modifiers.

In-universe, longevity treatments are a thing. Victor lived 200 years and died 'young' because of all the damage he did to his genome. 20 years is nothing.

Question thread. Not that it's mandatory to use it.

PC pregnancies are coded in such a way that speed modifiers always apply by default; in order for speed modifiers to not apply to a specific pregnancy, that pregnancy has to be coded in as an exception, which means pregnancies that ignore speed modifiers are always deliberate. NPC pregnancies, however, do not work the same way; they almost always have a fixed duration. So, frostwyrm pregnancies ignoring speed modifiers is almost certainly intentional.

Funnily enough, there's another pregnancy that takes the opposite approach: if Steele and Mirrin impregnate each other, both pregnancies are set by Steele's pregnancy speed modifier.

does that only count for the specific case of the Mirrin double impreg? if, say, preg one first then the other it's just as standard?

To actually answer this question, I think it was read that somewhere, the creator of the Frostwyrm, or otherwise named Valrynn, didn't want the PC pregnancy to modifiable; probably because it defeats the whole purpose of having to wait a ton of time, whereas already short/long pregnancies are reduced to a month's of time if you mod yourself to the fullest extent (1800%, the maximum modifier speed, reduces human pregnancies to a month's of time, basically 1/10th of the original amount.).

Weirdly enough though, you can still bypass this issue by stocking up on Small Blue Eggs, which can either be taken from Shelly, gained during the Easter event, or just constantly submitting to the Easter Jumper, which reduces any pregnancy by 14 days, so about 5 submissions to the Easter Jumper before you have to return to Uveto to keep stocking up on Frostwyrm pregnancies so you can dominate Uveto.

Small correction: Highest possible is 2000%.
Laquine Ears: 1000% Base
Synth Womb: +800%
Incubator: +100%
Breed Hungry: +100%
Averaged with Paternal bonus (2100 / 2): 10.5x speed.

I'll have to test that; also nice catch with the Breed Hungry thing.

Also, I thought Laquine Ears capped at 1000% regardless of what you had before? You can only get Incubator at the start of the game, so I'm pretty sure that bonus goes to waste when Laquine Ears stops precisely there.

Laquine Ears increases base Incubation Bonus. Incubator, Breed Hungry and Synth Womb are added separately.
pregnancyIncubationBonusMother()
{
let bonus = 0;
if(this.hasPerk("Incubator")) bonus += this.perkv1("Incubator");
if(this.hasPerk("Breed Hungry")) bonus += 1;
if (this.getClassName() == "PlayerCharacter")
{
if (this.inventory.utilityImplant.getClassName() == "SynthWomb") bonus += 8;
}
return this.pregnancyIncubationBonusMotherRaw + this.pregnancyIncubationBonusMotherMod + bonus;
