Flesh to Stone not stolen despite being hit by it

I have tried stealing the power "Flesh to Stone" from the fight against Auren but was unable to despite being hit by it in mirror stance.

Sometimes even being hit does't mean it will automaticly be learned as i think it might be an chance on hit to be learned.
It has happened to me some times in the past aswell whit powers i wanted, as the enemy would have to hit me several times before it would be properly learned.
Keep trying eventually you will get it.

I don't know about your experience with mirror stance but mine differs drastically to what you describe. Mirror stance, for me, has always given a stealable power on first "contact", assuming I could generate the threat needed to be targeted in the first place.

I did however retry for quite some time, just in case your suggestion of a "chance to learn" might be the solution. I even reran the dungeon with Varena on the slight off chance that the Calise route is to blame. But no, no matter the setup every other power except "flesh to stone" was stolen when hit by it.

Can I assume you were able to obtain the power through mirror stance on your end? Is this only a problem on my end?

The only thing I could think of that might explain the failure of stealing the power is that the initial hit does not deal damage. I'm just guessing at this point

I have not run that dungeon still, yet from what you describe and what people have shown about that power it seems to be an indirect hit Power that is like an stance that pulses every turn but it is put on the enemy instead.
Thus when it is put on you it only targets you and doesn't deal direct damage from what i have understood of it till now, could be wrong.
Also don't know if when sensed if it appears as stealable, i would assume it is as you seem to have knowledge of what your talking about.
