Yes, there was talk a long time ago about being able to purchase or acquire the dog without snatching it from the cat girl.
Yea, I know nothing is in yet. I'm curious if there was any update to this, I'm making new characters with the new race that just came in, so I thought I'd check for a update.

That girl were trying to do horrible things to you. She deserves to be saddened. And thrown to prison for hundred of years, also.
I dislike taking things I know hold those kinds of feelings, I'll do it if there was no other way to acquire something of interest. But anyways, I took enough satisfaction with shoving a wrench up her twat.

After she was left into prison her drone would be gathering dust in some space police warehouse. So...why so serious about making her sad? Unless it would be possible just visit that warehouse and take this drone. Then when meeting her we would leave it with her and just come later to take it as she would be in prison anyway.
And here I thought it would have like 2-3 types of drones not only the one that Tamwolf belongs to.

I would actually like seeing other drones (dogs, robots, whatever) just to go with my character/character build.
edit: especially a drone bird, so i can truly be a space pirate.

We probably somewhere down the road may get them. But they would still probably be any of them not much use aside of looking cool (really I not sure why what was at start and mostly now is still pert of been tech so hard hitted with nerfbat :/ )
If tech would get it would be able to fix it anyway at any place I suppose. Only other classes would see it as junk...

If visiting prisons ever get implemented I hope we can make up. Tech specialist to crazy cat lady mechanic. I´ve taken pretty good care of her drone after all. Better than having it trashed or forgotten.
A broken one I presume? Seeing as a fixed one would logically be viable for the upgrade in Kara quest 2.
Its just how I feel about it, I've seen others not wanting to take it away from her to. Just me being selfish, wanting her drone but she actually cares about it so I don't wanna take it from her.
If your a Tech, you overwrote Tam Wolf and installed your own drone scripts, unless she has backups... and isn't crazy thinking you killed her dog.
And no, not the broken one, a new one, on the shelf for purchase.
That could be quite interesting as PC would need go off ant planet to uveto, grab drone and then back to ant planet to do kara dung. Ok maybe some will not mind such running around...not like we can;t waste time waiting for next Bess/Ben scene proc xD (dayum like 50-80 days to get thou it all...PC need to fill those days somehow, right?

BTW, the real problem with TamWolf is that it is useless. When you meet them as foes, they are quite serious power. Yours... Damaged TamWolf converts electrical damage into kinetic in cost of 1 point of damage and shield bonus. Fixed one does literally nothing (still stealing your shield bonus). Upgraded gives 25% extra damage, which is something like 2 points. Oh, also there are dozens checks if you have TamWolf as drone, which would not work for upgraded version.

Oh right, completely forgot about that. I haven´t played the Tarkus quest in a long while after all.
A dozen? I know investigating the Nova ship and telling them to use the goo gets a tam wolf proc. But what others are there?
Don't forget that Savin orginal vision of Tamwolf was...pretty much badass drone and it upgraded version was even more...kawai. So not like in plans it was supposed to be as cool as was when used by Tam-Tam but ends up as you summed up quite useless.

Okay, after some more detailed search there are only two other, actually. Sex Bot fight - drone hack move. Sleep in a ruined Xenogen camp - interrupted by Vanae.
That would actually make drone tech viable. As for now, 8 points of shields per level is just too essential (basically, it is half of tech's shields, much more if not using top tier shield, and tech lives as long as he has shields), and drone deals barely more than 20% of owner's damage, and is useless for those who prefer tease.

You know I somehow got often quite lucky dron shots that helping my pc. So maybe it's that rng deciding to make me feel drones aren't so useless. So still I go around 2/3-3/4 times as tech with dron not better shields perk. Or is it habit since beginging to not enemies let my shield go below 30%. Most of the times I can do this so not feel such pressure to abandon normal or fenris drone for bigger shields. Maybe after lvl cap will be rised to 10-12 lvl's I would start to feel how much more shields have techs without drone perk.

I know the feeling, I've got faith that it'll get attention in the future, as well as upgrades the PC could find/purchase. As it is now, its not much and the fact that it gets hacked without a say on Steele Jr's part, really hurts it imo. That is why I mentioned firewalls, it really sucks the perk you choose that already hits your shields, gets taken and used against you without a fight.
Yeah all people that are hardcore fans of picking drone perk not sheild one at lvl 2 are jsut enduring it till it maybe someday look like they weren't morons to pick wrong path. AThou only I think with techs lvl 2 choice seems so much game changong than copared to SMug or Merc lvl 2 perk choices...
Shields sound like a trait about as well as drones imo, drones sadly just lack the ompf at this time. I'll wait and see what comes of this before I redo my Tech, still waiting on the Gryvain TF, and Tem Wolf seems to not work once shields drop atm.
