Editing suggestions for in-game text

I've never used a forum before, so I hope you all will forgive, and correct, any mistakes I make.

I went back to October and didn't see a thread for this. I hope it's not redundant.

Besides the spelling issues, and certain "insert" text not populating (a gap where a description was supposed to populate based on player description), there's also a lot of errors of simple geography during scenes. When you're fucking another person doggy-style, your balls wouldn't be slapping their ass, as an example, and that shows up a lot. There's also the pregnant Vari sex scene where the Champion is fucking her missionary style, but the text says, "...she finally settles down... pulling you up into a desperate, passion-filled kiss..." Champion is on top in this scene, so it makes no sense for Vari to pull Champ up into a kiss.

Side note: In Ragnild's description, it says "Brown-black, coin-sized areolae..." My suggestion is to say what kind of coin, or just give a measurement. I'm in the US, so a coin can be a dime or a silver dollar, and that's a big difference.

I don't know if this should go here, or in a different thread, but the time with Kinu as a kid is a little weird as well. I understand that there's supposed to be a mini-quest to get a training staff, or something, after she's been released. The problem I keep having is that I'm shooting for the better-adjusted Kinu, so I wait for a couple of decision-tree interactions before releasing them so the counter goes the "right" way, but I'm always told I've failed the quest when I get them out. Is this a bug, or am I just being stupid? I always refer to the wiki, but it's severely lacking in certain aspects - and not just playing catch-up with content, which is to be expected. It would seem easy to have a simple "do X Y-number of times, then release them for Z outcome", but the wiki is clear as mud about what a player is supposed to actually do. If it even said what triggered that quest failure, I could likely figure it out from there. TL;DR, the wiki does have a lot of detail, but it's sacrificing understanding for just data.

If there is already a thread for this, please let me know and I'll delete this. Also, if it's a thread nobody is interested in, the same applies.

Lastly, I want to take a minute to express how much I'm loving the hell out of this game, just as much as the original when it was at this stage. I keep hoping an updated Android version of the original will come around, because I miss playing it.

Check out how people do bug reports for this game by looking at a few threads. People generally either copy paste text or take and crop a screenshot and then post it here. When you spot specific broken parsers or weird visual descriptions, taking such an approach is the only way anyone can fix it.

For the Staff quest you just need to have a quarterstaff in your inventory before going to sleep, then you talk to Kiyoko.

Okay, I was waiting for a cue to the quest, but never saw one. I'll just keep a staff in my pack from now on.

Where should weird descriptions be placed? The broken parsers are bugs, but are the weird descriptions?

All in the same place, if it's a bit subjective you ought to throw some words down along with the screen shot to either have it agreed with or explained this misunderstanding.

Okay. Thank you for your help. I've never bothered with actually posting to forums before, so this is a lot of help.

Thank you.

Fuck you're old...
You had to Google DB Cooper, didn't you? Aw, kids today...

EDIT: Fun Fact. Look at this DB_Cooper's age, look up when the "real" (?) DB Cooper disappeared and do the math.

Y'all say that, but the Loki trailer has some serious D.B. Cooper vibes.

To be more on-topic, editing suggestions are always appreciated, but it's unlikely that anything other than an outright typographical error will be altered once it's in game. The best time to catch awkward writing is before implementation, not after.

Ugh. PLEASE don't post "I think this sentence would be better phrased like this" "reports". We've already had that, and they're annoying as fuck to read just as a forum member, never mind as an actual writer/coder/developer.

Seriously, what they said.
If you went to deal with stuff like that, the events submissions forum has all sorts of projects waiting for review that could use some extra tlc from community members

Wait, but what about submissions that aren't public, what are folks to do about that then? Not everyone has a Patreon to access Gdocs for those posting there exclusively to check them out and do passing small edits. >3>' (Actually it's been a while since I've seen public docs out from some writers, and I don't know how "active" the editing in the Patreon subs are for those that do have access). There's little stuff like lack of spaces (or spaces before periods) and stray brackets for instance that slip by the supposed editing process that if they're that minimal to bug report, it's hard to do anything about them afterwards if they are very unlikely to be touched after they get in.

ARE there any non-public submissions written by anyone that's not an established writer?

Those are the typographical errors that are most readily fixed after release, and usually are (albeit with a time lag). The things that aren't readily fixed are the ones where, say, a sentence works kind of awkwardly and ought to be rephrased.
