Duelist's Stance, how to utilize the counter attack.

So, after reading the skills description in game, and in the wiki, I have deduced that AFTER activating the stance, should ANY enemy miss me, i get to hit them in the face Once per round... effectively giving me two normal attacks per round if someone fails to connect.

Every round the icon shows that I have the stance active, and at the start of my turn it even gives me a small message that confirms it.

Any there any other activation requirements? Because I have not been able to counter attack anything. I have included screenshots of this below.

Note that I AM using a twohanded sword, which the game says isnt a light weapon. But I feel that, that should be a factor at all here.

Have you used duelist stance only on the wolves? It works normally on most sword wielding opponents but only once during that round i'm pretty sure and I figured at least for the wolves
that you cant really parry a bite, the stance doesn't even work against ranged enemies. But I use it to reach 74 Evasion

Pretty much. If they are swinging at you with any type of melee weapon its a safe bet it can be potential counter when the stance is active, even a cleave can be a counter if dodged.

Actually, the showcased example is a physical hit attempt (the result of the wolves' "Bite" power), meaning it targets Physical Resistance instead of evasion, thus Duelist's stance not proccing here. The text itself is definitely misleading here, though.

So a true trigger would be an attack with the "melee" classification that is checked against my Evasion? (I'm assuming that AoE magic still isnt countered, even if it checks against Evasion, instead of MagRes)

It would have to be a "weapon attack" made with a melee weapon, though weapon attacks can sometimes be powers, as is the case with the likes of cleave. Apologies for the confusion
