Will, there be a dragon companion like ember in coc 1 or will they only be mentioned in passing or as rumors or possibly an enemy type?

There's no guarantee on companions, since those're pretty much reserved for established writers. Those writers will pretty much write what they want to write or what they're commissioned to write.

But as other kinds of NPCs? Probably. Dragons are pretty popular after all. We've also got that Wyverness enemy, which is pretty close as far as dragons go.

There will definitely be dragons in the game. As a combat-aiding companion you take with you? Proooobably not.
