I was looking at the new race system which was introduced in the last patch, and I saw this tucked away under Dragon. I cannot find it mentioned anywhere else, on the wiki or in the forum.
Is this a remnant of Corruption of Champions, where Dragonfire was a potent once-a-day ability, or something that was going to be released but was nixed, or something for us to look forward to?
I know that Fenoxo does not like race specific perks, as they effectively force a specific form on you in order to maximise your power, rather than having the form you really want for your character. However, there are a few such as Icy Veins and Resin. Other perks, such as Myr Venom and the various Pheremone perks are permanent, and therefore can be kept if you change to a different form.
If anyone knows anything about this then please share, my curiosity is bubbling over!

It's a holdover from CoC. Since Dragon isn't currently supposed to be accessible to the Player, it hasn't been changed. To my knowledge, the only way to get a Dragonfire perk is to add it via the Console or Save Editing. However, the perk does nothing but qualify you for the race point. If a Dragon TF was written and added, I suspect the line would be removed.
(F12 to open the Console)
pc. createPerk("Dragonfire",0,0,0,0,"Perk Description");

It could also be a heat version of Icey Veins, if it was added at some point.

That's a good suggestion. It would hardly be overpowered, and solve the problem of 'Frostwyrm Race isn't immune to Bitterly Cold', if it was added to the Frostwyrm TF, too.
