I was modifying my character to play as a tank and when looking at wikipedia I noticed this

So basically having over eighty in Armor, Ward, and Focus is useless?

so having 130 armor is just as useful as 75 when it comes to reducing damage

It's probably just another thing on the wiki out of date. It'd be too easy to cap out if armor was a percentage damage reduction, anyway.

So no, armor and other related stats are still useful above 80, the mechanics have changed since then.

IIRC, Tobs said the damage reduction stats now work as a multiplier, 100/(100 + DR), that's applied to the respective damage type. They basically increase your effective HP/Resolve against each damage type by a percent equal to the relevant stat e.g. 130 Armour is effectively +130% HP against physical damage.

Yeah. The combat math has changed dramatically since the game came out.
Wiki maintenance is of course up to the fans, but I'm curious if updating the Codex entries that explain that math is planned for the near future? I didn't notice the Armor shenanigans that OP did, but having an unequal amount of Resolve between my party members and seeing it increase with level made me scratch my head. I had to go look through the patch notes to find out what's going on.

Probably when we're MOSTLY done dicking with the mechanics.
