Does Cait's Vestal set 'Shielding Tome' offhand prevent crits to happen to her?

Searched the wiki for Shielding Tome, and in its Set part of the page it doesn't state there that it does like in other Companion Sets Perk sections.
Still have to test it out ingame though.
