Displaying of non-integer core stats in the Codex

How should the core stat page of the Codex show stats?

  • Leave it as is; "* Aim: 73 %, 0/22/30,"

Currently, the 'core stats' page of the Codex doesn't actually show the true value/percentage of your stats, the one used for slow stat gain calculation. It shows your stat rounded down to the nearest integer, and then uses that rounded-down integer to calculate percentage. So, for example, if my PC was level 6, had a reflex stat of 22.55, the stats section of the Codex would show "* Aim: 73 %, 0/22/30," when in reality, the actual percentage would be roughly 75.17%.

My suggestion is that the stat page should display something more like "* Aim: XX %, X/XX.XX/XX," because the slow stat gain system doesn't use anything smaller than the hundredths place, meaning you can just cut off the trailing zeros and floating point rounding errors for the purpose of accurately displaying stats, and slow stat gain doesn't use anything smaller than the 1's place of the percentage, so you can ignore those decimal places. Or you could use two decimal places for displaying of percentages as well.

Of course, there is something to be said of simple, easy-to-read-at-a-glance numbers, so maybe it should be left as-is, and there's also the fact that this would change nothing about actual gameplay mechanics, and have no real improvement on quality-of-life for most people, making it essentially wasted development time.
