I ran into the Paulette ZS crash a few times. Later, I had to leave the game in the middle of a scene, and when I opened the game again a few hours later all of my save data was completely gone.

likely unrelated. your slave slots are stored in cache, which can periodically be cleared at random. this is why there is the save slot notice.
