Steele is so alpha that his harem members have harems.
I kinda hate Dane cos I'm really not into dudes at all (shh fembois don't count) and on my very first playthrough when he raped my lez-Steele it was actually pretty shocking. At this point I'm kinda reconciled to that as a mechanic, but that (maybe irrational) dislike still lingers.

It was a half-joke, I didn't mean to demean feminine guys or erase their male-ness or whatever. I guess what I meant is I'm attracted to feminine people, and if a rare one of those people happens to use male pronouns I don't know if it would make a difference. But this has the potential to be a huge derail so...just thanks for being chill!
And yeah, I played TiTS first, so it was a bit shocking. It's not a big thing, there's just some weird residual association.
Like I said, I've no actual problem with him, my rule of thumb is if you don't like some bit of content, skip it and let people who do like it enjoy themselves.
Going from TiTS to CoC would be a little strange I imagine. In CoC, the PC did most of 'raping' if you played it that way. TiTS is more like all the 'raep' is happening to the PC. Really got a put the porno logic hat on otherwise...
Most of the content is totally optional. There's very little MANDATORY stuff. You don't even need to recruit Anno, stop at Burt's Badass Meadhall, you could give the Plantation Quest a pass, skip out on the bug war and go directly to the probe. The only mandatory stuff is Rival, Stellar Tether, Nyrea village and Zheng Shi. Thank goodness TiTS isn't a traditional game.

I need more character development for me to properly give him a consideration for joining the crew. As it stands now I don't want him on the ship.
No offense but what would Dane even bring to the table? Because, if you ask me there is enough people on the wannabango that don't do much but sit there. If Dane comes in he's gotta do something, no free rides on this ship unless it's on mah dick.
Muscle in the field. Mercenary and possibly criminal connections (way into Zheng Shi?). Some dirt on the cousin, perhaps? Like maybe what their next move is or how to take them out of the race?
Plus that dick is a pretty big perk, in more ways than one!

I don't think Dane would be a good field companion, unlike Siegwulf and tam pup, Dane's pretty weak when you think about it and having him follow you around not saying anything would kind of be both weird and dum up questions and be somewhat useless in my opinion.
I feel he's kinda solidified as a villain or against us really even if he's a punch in punch out henchman.

Fen already said the plan is to add him as a follower. Although his dick will be changed to make him more appealing.
Bess/Ben is a dead character. It will never be worked on again. Some staff would remove her honestly if it were up to them because of the multiple inconsistencies the char has with in game lore. The character would not make into the game these days.
Gianna might eventually be worked into a follower. And she would be much better suited.

Yeah, cause Jim left and the fact that Bess/Ben has SO MANY variables is most likely why no one wants to touch her.
