You know how with Paige there was a one off sex scene at the start that then became repeatable through role play when she becomes a crew member, well Penny could have one too. There's a shower scene when you first sex the fox that can't be viewed again. You could use a small amount of your word count to retrofit that so that it would be repeatable once she's on board. Or maybe it's not worth it, obviously it's up to you.

I opted to do the somnophilia scenes. It seemed wrong, to me, to tease some obvious sex scenes, and then not do them and coerce Fen into increasing my word cap even further if he wanted them done. I know we'd rather see Penny x Paige, but I couldn't have the setup with no payoff. It would have been a dick move.
Luckily for some of us (including myself!), somnophilia is now getting some representation, and more porn is always nice.

Word limits don't exist to punish writers for ideas. They're more to protect writers and people commissioning them. For example, if you were to commission me to write a character and a storyline for you, I might charge €15 per thousand words. What would stop me from writing 50000 words and charging you €750, when you only wanted a short piece. Likewise, a writer might put a cap on what they might take on because there are some clients who will keep tacking on ideas during a commission which might keep the writer working longer without getting paid.

Word limits are achievable goals and challenging to keep within those limits.

I was going to write my usual 2,000 words, honest, but, after getting about 400 words into my next scene (bringing the total to 1,500), I had a much better idea on how to handle Penny fucking the PC in their sleep. It would require that I scrap the whole 400 words, and it would require that I rewrite an earlier scene. It's a handful of extra work, but the scene's content would be much better, and the execution would be much easier and smoother, so I'm going to do that. But, it's currently normal-people-are-waking-up o'clock, so I'm going to shelve all those changes for tomorrow.

Here's a teaser from the content that I did finalize tonight, though:

The build-up is slow, but it’s thorough and fulfilling; you don’t need to fuck her like you’re both some horny beasts, and having her body against yours, her tail stimulating you the way it is, is actually a nice break from the rampant, demanding sex that Penny is often capable of. Like I said, I had to rewrite one of the older scenes: to find the scene that's been changed, find the sentence that's been highlighted in green and start reading from there. It's about a page long. This also gives both the somnophilia scenes a conclusion.

You don’t move – not because you’re worried you might give yourself away, since she’s going to figure it out in a few moments if she hadn’t already, but because, well, you’re comfortable where you are.
