Trap, female pronouns.

From my understanding the politically correct term is indeed transwoman. Trap is a potentially offensive term to some, but it's also ok to use in this context. Frogapus who is apparently in a similar boat to her character is cool with it/ also seems to be fine with applying it to herself if I recall correctly.

Fen games in general aren't really a bastion of politicaly correct terminology anyways. It is a porn game after all so it mostly seems to aim for the terms that are most effective at stroking folks lizard brains/ fetishes.

Hiya there! I've struggled with these issues for a while. I'm a transwoman, myself, and I try to be socially conscious while writing smut. There's a lot going on with these terms that I try to keep in mind:

 • Terms like "trap," "dickgirl," or "shemale" are  definitely inappropriate in actual conversation, and DEFINITELY toxic to use when actually describing someone. Much in the same way that you wouldn't call a large woman a BBW to her face, or refer to a colleague as a MILF in casual conversation, these are words that can be hurtful and degrading when used as pejoratives.
 • Nevertheless, like the term "queer," many people have attempted to reclaim those words by self-identifying with them. I, myself, often refer to myself as a dickgirl in casual conversations (not professional ones.)
 • Within the scope of pornography, each of these terms is pretty specialized. While the majority of porn categories DO cater to a white male cis hetero perspective, they are useful as a shorthand in categorizing concepts within porn. You could say she's a feminine-presenting, sexually genderqueer, transwoman who happens to be lightly-built, but "trap" functions more efficiently, and translates a lot of that meaning in a condensed fashion.
 • At the same time, the words we use DO shape the way we think. I tend to think of the word "trap" as divorced from its original meaning, which originally presented the idea that a straight man was being "trapped" or tricked into having sex with another "man." And I know that some people still do conflate the term with its original meaning. I like to think that Prai, like a lot of characters in TiTS and their respective gender roles, are doing a lot to dissolve the original concept of traps existing only to "trick" men, and that they present as feminine because they want to.
 • To this end, I'm grateful that Fenoxo's games have moved away from the "OH MY GOD SHE'S A GUY!" style of revelation, and go with the idea that characters simply are who they are, and that to Steele, if a person says they're a guy, they're a guy, and if they say they're a girl, they're a girl.

... Just as long as there are plenty of dicks to go around. ^_^

As much as Urta's revelation gave me the most uncomfortable boner my 18-year-old self had ever had, the "new" style of communicating sexual attributes/alignment/orientation/etc.etc. definitely jives so much better with the sexually liberated sci-fi theme. I know I've had a lot of fun writing the cock-toting ausar girls who are totally into being dickgirls; CoC's way of handling Urta or Loppe as it being shameful or whatever was kinda unfortunate in hindsight.

That said (and not to hijack your thread, I promise!), have you played through Lerris's content, Froggy? If so, what'd you think of how I handled her? She's one of the first times I've tried to go with something distinctly other than just "I'm a girl" or "I'm a girl with a wiener!" and I never really got much feedback on her.

I actually have not. I'll take a look at her later today. When playing, I steer clear of most of the feminine NPCs because they're not in my sexual wheelhouse, but she definitely sounds interesting!

"I'm a girl with a wiener!

Not that there's anything wrong with this.

Plenty of dicks to go around is always a bonus. (Especially if they're on femboys or girls) And thanks for clearing it up a little bit more.

So, what term is not toxic/inappropriate/etc? "Trans" clearly not one, since it refers to "transition". It won't fit naturally feminine ones, like kaithrit. Someone in another topic said that "femboy" is offensive too.

So, like, in a conversation with actual people, it's usually just best to go with "transwoman" or "transman" or "trans person." The abbreviation "trans" as an adjective--"She mentioned that she's trans."--is often fine. As far as the others go, I'd refrain from referring to actual people with those terms unless an individual has asked specifically to be referred to as such. One of my close friends refers to herself as a "trap," but I wouldn't dream of calling any of my other trans friends "traps" as well.

But, like I said before, I do think some terms function in porn because they're actual, descriptive categories. Except for "tranny." That one is just hate speech.

...This brings back memories to when I first found tits...Syri, Kiro, Kaede...my boner was very confused. A girl with a dick?...but she´s hot...It took me some time until the day when I first thought "you know what? fuck it"...pun intended.

As for Lerris feedback: So far I had gotten somewhat used to the thought of shemales and herms, mostly because they looked like and thought of themselves as females...but Lerris was a new concept for me. She was a guy, looked totally like a girl, considered herself a man, but wanted a vagina. Nevertheless, this game had tainted me to the point where anything that looked female and was described as a her, was enough for me to think of her as one.

To summarize, Lerris is a hawt milky kitty. And my Steele didn´t have much of an issue banging her, even without the V.

That's the problem with you sexed-up Rushers. You hit planet and assume everyone's there to fuck you or suck you.

...They´re not? (*Writes down in codex* "No help for you next time then")

I read through a bit of the document. And I would like to say that this is definitely a character I´d love to encounter in game :)

I thought that Lerris considers herself a she...

You blink. “Wait, you’re-”

“A girl. Shush,” Lerris moans, urgently pushing her breasts back in your face. “Just haven’t taken the mods to finish what Lactaid helped start. Don’t make me beg, now, put it in already!”

It would've been fine if the rest of the game had engaged with the idea that herms are as much a taboo oddity as they are in our world. To begin with Urta displays as much embarrassment and misery about having an over-stimulated horse dick as a real woman would, and that's fine because it allows for empathy and character development.

However then you run into a bajillion other snowflakes who are toting 16 inch shark dicks and acting like that fact makes them Queen Shit of Turd Hill, and the whole thing quickly becomes absurd.

To be fair, the reasoning behind most of the civilized people of Mareth lifting the stigma from hermhood is pretty solid. The lack is societal pressure by itself doesn't nullify anyone's ability to make a decent story centred around or simply including character's 'herm woes'.

Also, why would you white on Izma yet write Izmael? :shibe:

As far as what to call whom in what way about who they may or may not be . . . I personally find that a person's name or screen name works far better than any other kind of "identifier". Classifying people into pretty little boxes of identity is for crazy text based porn games! :p

It is if you're attempting to sell a simple, joined-up universe to the player. Feel free to write about a herm who doesn't want to be a herm but is because <insert Fen's acid trip here>, but making her actually ashamed of and driven to alcohol over it in a society where every second female is a futa is an obvious absurdity.

Also, why would you white on a character that you dislike yet write about turning them into a walking joke? :shibe:

I actually really dug that part about Urta (re: my absurdly specific futa kinks), but you're absolutely right. When practically 90% of the game either is futa or can become futa, it just made Urta feel out of place, and made it hard for me to empathize with her. I just didn't understand why she saw it as so impossibly shameful. It's perfectly valid that she might have wanted to get rid of her dick, because she didn't really get it willingly, but for her to act like she was some kind of freak within that setting was really strange.

From what I have gathered, in Urta's case it's the result of getting stuck in the past, one that was chock full of prejudice and tangible abuse caused, in part, by her hermhood. I've seen at least a couple RL examples of people that are unable to let go of their hangups and paranoia long after the public opinion has swayed from marking them as targets.

Katherine just got pushed around for too long by a whole bunch of nasty bastards and would have had terrible self-image problems regardless of her sex.

Loppe mostly cared about maintaining a certain public image (even in the context of Mareth most background pure males was said to prefer pure females to herms) and didn't have any real problems with her own donger. Which is to be expected, since she is a genki bunny girl with a herm dad.

And I have to give you major props, NS, for not lowering the bar even when writing a parody and for creating something that can, at a glance and when read by fools like me, be mistaken for a labour of love.

Implying it wasn't for fetish fuel. Because futas being embarassed of their own huge horsecocks is adorable.

Frog you are quickly becoming my favourite writer. Whenever I read one of your characters I just want to take them and snuggle them.

Awww, thank you so much! I strive for snugglebility in my creations. I think writers put a little bit of themselves in the things they write. I'm cuddly, so I put that in the characters.

People can be strange... And it would be nice to have at least to have some in-game justification for mismatching part. It can be either racial trait or mod. In a case of a racial trait, there should be other mixed parts (half-ovir or half-laquine). In a case of the mod, it deserves an own story, especially since small horsecocks are not exactly common.

Your eyes flicker over the slight bulge in her skirt and she catches you. "Oh, if you were wondering about it, yes--there's a dick under there," she says with a wave of her hand. "Nothing super special--though I've grabbed a mod or two from Xenogen's scrapped project lines. Some fluid boosts and a minor mod to my existing structure. Though, I guess you weren't really asking about that…" she says, blinking. "Oh my gosh, was I just rambling about my … oh crackers …" she says blushing furiously.

She now has a blurb explaining that she regularly rummages through discontinued Xenogen products (like the Gemu) and got her hands on some pre-volume enhancements and a mini-horsecock mod. I figure it fits the raccoon theme to have her effectively raiding a company's "garbage."

I feel like such an idiot for only figuring this out now, but better late than never, right? Since Prai is a pure blooded kui-tan with minimum mods, her balls should function the way any other kui-tan's do, which means the possibility of massive swelling and cum cascades. The last part is especially important since Prai blows PC .

Why do you think she produces so much pre? She practically soaks the front of her skirt with her fluids during a couple of the scenes. One of the "fluid boosts" that she mentioned is the root cause of this. Instead of swelling up with cum like other kui-tan, she just starts dumping out precum.
