Weekly Wiki Update #038 | Fuck I forgot to make reports again

Since the previous update log:

- All current art files are up to date (this includes all Artist Author pages)
-- The only thing that's missing is the one Queen Nyzerrah CG (due to pending info)
-- Be warned that due to number of Artworks present, loading Moira's author page could eat up about 1-4 MB of data.

I noticed term "Chaste" shows up a few times on the wiki, specifically in the context of win/loss scenes with certain enemies and how companions interact with them, but there's no actual indication of who is or isn't chaste on any companion's page. One example would be the companion loss scene for the Marefolk Shaman, which just seems to function for all party members, regardless of whether they're "exclusive" with the player or not. I'm sort of confused as to where the idea of the tag came from to begin with.

Companion tags were an implementation when the companion list was finalized. It was meant to act as a future proof system to account for companions being included or excluded into loss and other sex scenes. Only Etheryn and Atugia (until the Romance option, then she becomes Reserved) are Chaste. I'll scrape together a page by this week's report to at least explain what it does and what the other tags do.

EDIT: Correction (It is an implementation when the list was finalized). It is also largely unused now because its easier to write the characters specifically.

Steady progress, but didn't complete the full companion sets before today's report dang. It'll be finished by next report guaranteed as well as the Companion Tags that I didn't get to start yet.

To reiterate the new features of the comp sets versus the v2, the combat stat breakdown has been removed since no one really pays attention to that stuff sadly and its replaced with an exhaustive bullet point explanation into their perks and powers, which I think is more helpful, as well as what buffs and debuffs they apply. So you'll get an all in 1 info dump without having to check through different pages to understand what X does.

Also it is noted for perks that have synergies with powers like Healer's Hands or Eye for Weakness. It also includes what their typical combat role is and sometimes community comments from the local combat junkies/experts.

Sorry, didn't make yesterday's time because I wasn't feeling too well and wasn't done with the sets yet.

I got stuck looking for a way to optimize/simplify the explanation of terms and I'm currently waiting for Gedan to approve and implement tooltips on the wiki so I can shorten some equation and computation formulas for powers (e.g. instead of doing a [50 x (1 + Spellpower / 100)] I can turn it into [50 x SpellDmg Amp] <and have SpellDmg Amp click show a text box to explain Spellpower Damage Amplification: (1 + Spellpower / 100)> or something similar.

Also I got stuck playing the current update to Abiotic Factor, to which I had a great time, haha. I'll only attach 1 screenshot to the forum post, while the free patreon post has all 4.

Although I did fail to make the companion tag explanation page because I might turn it into a subsection under either a Party or Companion page to explain things related to them.

Also, I'll be collecting a bit more community comments for the companion sets within the week at the discord, especially for the sets that don't have comments.

Alright, so I would say this is decent progress, with a new and completed page plus continued upkeep of existing pages. Up next is as the queue states, TFs & the remaining items. Having gone through explaining the powers for the Companion Sets, I might retouch the powers list because a good number of powers dont fully explain what they do in their description, and I have some ideas to use (if its implemented) the tooltip for sources.

Attached is the finalized list of companions, while the scales of characters is different due to having two different artists with years of changes, the heights are relatively accurate.

(Tooltips) While not impressive in terms of report quantity, this new implementation of tooltips will streamline and make explaining terms and other concepts much easier and cleaner. I had spent the past weekend tinkering around with the granblue fantasy wiki and attempting to understand its powerful systems. A combination of 6 freshly made templates + 1 copied from the gbf.wiki (and the new tooltip 'engine'/.css changes) is what led to the current image of Agni's Companion Set. I am immensely proud/happy of this new system and will continue to expand it, as there is still much experimenting and optimizations to be done.

(Dark Mode) Additionally, during my weekend tinkering, I've been experimenting with the implementation of the much requested Dark Mode for the wiki. Current testing on my local wiki shows that the basic implementation of the dark mode gadget does fuck with some images (see the dark blotch at the eyes of the faceless blade, and the crazy horse's eyes are darker), as well as other systems like the spoilerblur. I'll need to do a bit more tinkering before I'll bring it in to the CoC2 wiki.
