The reason I’m creating this thread is for three reasons:
-1: I’m a shameless Homestuck fan who likes to apply this bullshit webcomic’s rules to other pieces of fiction, no matter how stupid of an idea that is.
-2: I’m autistic so I love categorizing the shit out things
-3: I have all sorts of time since I’m stuck inside at home due to the current pandemic.

Anyway, classpecting: what the fuck is that?

Well, it is applying one of the twelve aspects with one of the fourteen classes to a character to form their hero title. Generally, this is done for the same reason people do Hogwarts Houses and Avatar Elements and whatever; it’s just that this is slightly more complicated and requires a bit more thought than ether of those two.

That’s why, to make this easy, I’ll post the below videos; while not necessarily canon, they are what I think is most helpful to ascribe to when deciding what a Character’s hero title would be:

(Note: if you would prefer a different source. you can find other classpect analyses on websites like Tumblr and Reddit. Again, everyone has their own interpretation; this one is just what I personally think works.)

Obviously, they’re other interpretations of these, but I feel this works well for now.

Anyway, have fun classpecting! UwU

I’ll start off with my own opinion. This isn’t based on too much, but I think it will work fine:

Cait

Classpect: Sylph of Heart

My reasoning for this Is based on some pretty admittingly surface level reasons-she is a healer who has a passion for relationships. Therefore, it is only fitting she would have a role such of this.

Many Heart players have a strong association with romance, from the shipping obsessed Nepeta to the obsessive Dirk Strider. While Cait doesn’t feel a strong need to bond with someone in particular, her role could be associated with the idea of “healing” a relationship, or allowing for one to occur. While I doubt such a thing would happen, it wouldn’t seem to out of character.

Another interpretation, in which Heart refers to Soul, could be that she could heal someone’s sense of self or purpose. This is pretty interesting, especially in regards to corruption. In some way, she might be the one to save the day...

...or not; after all, if Nepeta and Dirk are anything to go by, Heart players tend to either die a hero or live to become a villain. Of course, her becoming an antagonist that needs to be stopped is probably ridiculously, and is completely unlikely to happen.
