I wanted to check out the hype train that is COC1, however when I started playing I ended up getting raped... alot. So would you guys have any ideas of builds to avoid losing in this game? Preferably for male characters.

It's less about builds and more about steps. For example, let's assume you're going for a "pure"-ish route.
  • Beat goblins and imps in the forest.
  • Train with Jojo.
  • Find the Beautiful Sword in the lake.
  • Find Rathazul.
  • Start finding armour pieces to get better armours and sell them for some money. If you have reliable ways to lower corruption, you can get enough Corruption to access the Bizarre Bazaar, lower it and buy pieces from Benoit, as explained on the wiki.
  • Start getting powers via Sand Witch books once you are strong enough to beat them.
  • Do not hesitate to buy stat items from Giacomo if needed. Remember that some transformation items can raise or lower stats, and that you can take what you don't need to the pawn shop.

With all your advice in mind, I'm planning to build a dragon-morph character. I'm also playing on the Xianxia mod version, so I checked the wiki and it says there are multiple sub-types: Dragonne, Frost Wyrm, Faerie Dragon, Sea Dragon, Vouivre, Ygddrasil, Kirin, Jabberwocky. However they don't mention how to acquire them nor the differences between them. Would you be able to help me in that area?

Late but I got you covered. Pick speed gift, religion specialty. Speed is the hardest to raise, the other 3 can be raised using vitality tinctures / scholars tea (found from cart guy in default explore). Religion will let you meditate at the beginning of the game, which is important because God cries when you masturbate/have sex/think impious thoughts.

Get the Beautiful Sword from exploring the lake. It will have the highest base damage of any weapon in the game, provided you stay on the righteous path. You can find Rathazul at the lake and after buying three things from him you can recruit him to your base.

I recommend using your first 3 perk points to unlock Double Attack (preqs are evasion and runner).

Once you're level 3, you can recruit Jojo in the forest, and training with him will upgrade your meditation allowing it to also restore health.

You're pretty much set from this point. It's also highly recommended to get the Inquisitor's Robes, which are missable and a bit counter intuitive to get, I suggest reading the wiki on how to do so. You can get them very early if you run from all combat in the swamp.

But remember, sex is for infidels, that's why they call it infidelity. Cheers.
