So I saw the thread about flash and using newgrounds. But it made no difference, if I click on play in window I get the page that just says I need Adobe flash. If I download and run, it just loads a single image that has an f and an i in a circle. My guess is it loaded as a video and not a game, same issue with swf file player. I have no idea how I can play this game and would appreciate any help in being able to do so.

Here's a way that works 100% and doesn't involve third party software or downgrading your version of Flash, both of which are a security risk :
Go to https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html and download the debugger (or projector, both seem to work for me). From the main page, download CoC (right-click and "save as"). Then start up the debugger (or projector), load the CoC file and Bob's your uncle. I haven't encountered any issues so far, saving and loading also works fine.
