Camping in the Glacial Rift?

Most of the locations in the Glacial Rift have a "lifetime" limit on how long the camp can stay there.

Are there any tiles where there isn't such a limit? It would make sense to have more secluded areas -- such as the volcanic caves near Gweyr -- potentially have longer-lasting camps. Alternatively, is there a way to check a tile's "potential lifetime" or pack up a camp before it is automatically destroyed? These would be nice additions.

Of course, the "camps get eaten by a grue every three days" could be an intentional balance for the rift, in which case I'll have to suck it up and part with some of my electrum hoard. Oh well. (It would be a nice reward for exploring some of the extra tiles, though)

Camps getting destroyed is an intentional feature of every zone that isn't immediately adjacent to Hawkethorne. You can get a sense for the potential lifespan of a camp from the description of the site itself after you've set up.

Ah, then it makes sense as a mechanic -- I don't think I've really set up any camps in the remote areas (I generally don't any any need to, as most of the areas with encounters are directly adjacent to Hawkethorne.) I suppose we'll see this mechanic become a little more common as more areas are added to the game.
