By Design or an Oversight?

So during the tutorial neither the Champ nor Cait can tease. Not even if you were a Courtesan. It isn't until the awakening after Kasyrra that tease combat becomes a thing. I find the headcanon amusing that it was fucking Kas that awakened horny combat for the Champ. But that doesn't explain it for everyone else. Kasyrra says the world will be different when you wake up. Is horny combat one of the things the Champ is meant to find different? Was the horny magic portal exploding the cause? Or is not being able to tease during the tutorial just an oversight with no story significance?

It's entirely by design and a gameplay-only thing to force the player to deal with more mechanics than shaking your ass to win, don't think too hard about it. And yes, the emphasis is there in-game:
A character's Health is represented by the red bar around their portrait. If that reaches zero, that character is defeated and can no longer act. You cannot tease enemies to win fights in the tutorial, but afterwards, it can be an easier road to victory against sexually-charged enemies.

Ah I've never read that before. I went looking for where that was and it's in the text before the first fight. I'm use to the combat so I've never scrolled down enough to actually read the tutorial blurb. I've always just clicked Fight! after reading the dialogue.
