Busts??

So my phone has been lagging lately, very slow to respond.. memory low which is odd seeing as I barely have many apps on my device. Today I went through my images and found over 1000 busts or images for Corruption of Champions 2.. I don't think I downloaded anything extra, so my question is have these images appeared because I downloaded the game?

You might have some duplicates, I dont think there is 1000 images in the game, maybe around like 400/500?

There does seem to be copies of a few, also images of buttons and other things in the game. Would be fine if I know why I even have them..

It's possible you have other apps finding the images and making backups of them, thinking that's what you want.

I don't know if it's the same for mobile but CoC2 has two folders, one for full busts(the ones you see when you click on a portrait), and one for cropped busts(the ones you see on the right side)
a solution for this is to delete the "fulls" folder to half the file count, you won't be able to see the full sized images but most of the busts in the game will be alright. here's a screenshot for an example of what i am talking about.

as you can see you can cut down your image count by about half if you do that, but the thing is that the filesize won't change a lot since the compression algorithm the devs use is fairly good, could be useful for if you really want to save for all the extra space.


Edit: on a bit of an unrelated note, devs can't just use a single folder with the "full" busts because not all of them are centered and the whole "crops" folder centering is done by hand, that is just my guess.

There are 1500+ images in the game files. The image processing is pretty aggressive tho so even tho there's tons of images it's only ~250MB.

Every NPC with 2+ variations plus combat headshots + CGs + UI elements + puzzles etc.

Also, crops for the right-side bust window and full-size versions are stored as separate files.

There are over 500 individual busts, each having full size and cropped versions, so there's over 1000. Then you have all the combat headshots, I think there's around 250 there. Finally there's the CGs and all the UI elements, which is about another 250.

I severely underestimated jesus, honestly surprised by how small the file size is all things considered.
