build help

[Kyubi Xiaolong]

so i am starting a new game and was in need of advice for my character's build

just started so only level 1 but the character is named ryu xilong, the crimson king, and i started lupine, warrior soldier

he is suppose to be a skilled warrior known for impressice battle tactics, prowress and leadership, and love of fire magic

most likely will be armed with helm of heroes and conquer's plate, arm guards and iron greaves, and twin lucky strike rings, no idea about neck, shoulders or waist yet, nor do i know if going two handed weapon, one hand and shield, bow, or duel weild yet

i also know i will always have cait in my party and will most likely have ethryn or brint as third....

any ideas on a good power set/stat set?

current equipped powers are guarded stance, white fire and spirit veil

Want to go Kitsune? Because they get a fire damage stance if you talk to Nakano. Do be aware that the stance fits thematically but is actually inferior to Charge Weapon in most situations since it lacks the damage upon activation and fire is a worse damage type than holy.

Equipment I would suggest:

Weapon: War scythe
Chest: Conqueror's plate
Helm: Helm of Heroes
Arms: Your choice (Royal gloves or Gloves of Giant Strength are very good)
Feet: Winged Sabatons or Iron Greaves (Depending on whether you want armor or initiative)
Belt: Senninbari (if you like Kiyoko), Champion's Belt if you don't care to impregnate floofs.
Neck: Probably fox tail charm. The only other remotely useful neck is Kiyoko's Amulet of Transference/Union.
Rings: Lucky strike/guld ring
Cloak: Cloak of the Deeps

Abilities:

At Will: Charge Weapon/Blue Flame Blade (former is better, latter is RP flavor)
Recharge: Cleave/Group Heal/Blessing (pick two)
Encounter: Smite Evil/Summon Flame Knight
Ultimate: Any really, but Unbreakable, Revive or Inspiration would fit your role play best.

Put points into Str/Agi/Will. Your equipment already gives you 20+10+10=40 leadership so you don't need presence. Note that this build does NOT use a shield so you're not immune to crits. I recommend a tank or the Flame Knight summon. All abilities here are from trainers, with the exception of Blue Flame Blade.
