Berwyn Act 1 only Companion?

I just have to ask in order to get this off my chest. Could Berwyn have been reworked to be an act 1 companion? Whereby, he would be a companion character during act 1, but after the palace of ice has been completed, he would stop being available as a companion. Therefore, all the new content, which is mainly post act 1, wouldn't have to deal with Berry, and the act 1 content would only have to deal with 1 variation of Berry and is already written.

Like I said, I'm mainly writing this to get it off my chest.

And encourage people to never progress the plot to keep him around?

Nah.

It's not like he had much content before then anyway - and I would know, given that I was the only one to give him any kind of support in content, from the winter ball to the kitsune den gauntlet.
