Warning, lot's o' text. Feel free to ignore it at thy leisure.

So, first off: The big green? It's super awesome that she's now shuffled into the companion mix, and the game has been a utter blast. Couldn't have been easy, so kudos for that. I'm not exaggerating when I say she was one of the things I looked for as I zipped through the various versions that have come to pass, back as freebie type and donor alike.

However, comma, something has been bugging me a little bit as I explored the new salacious goods-- as I read the various interactions on both sides of the coin regarding Arona (alpha and beta).. it just wasn't clicking with me as much as I though it would. The motor was running, sure, but it wasn't at max rpm much less thumbing the sticky nitro. It's not like the sex scenes had changed that much, and Arona was still great.. so why?

This was terribly confusing to me, as again I was most certainly looking forward to more orc goodness. Was it just too much anticipation finally coming to a head? Or something else entirely? So I read through them again, trying to figure out why Arona was precariously at Diet Coke levels of saucyness all of a sudden, from the initial war bandit battles onward.

And then it hit me. Or the champion, rather. Often, with a mix of blunt instruments metal and phallic alike. It was a new playthrough, so the champ wasn't OP by any means at this point, so there were nearly as many victories as there were defeats, and subsequent visits to Poundtown. Sometimes she was on top, sometimes she was on bottom, but the genital jousting between the two futas was certainly part of the fun.

(Side note: The interaction with Arona in the hills when you are preggers with her gusto was adorable.)

And so I figured it out. At least for me, The Rivalry was the best part, and what I looked forward to with her most as a companion.

For sword bro, there was Brint. We got a muscled tower of cow power alternate form for him/her, but she lost the D and became a bit demure. For saucy ally minx, there was Cait. There was our delicious unfortunate Wyld elf for snuggles and power trips, depending on the flavor you favor. And of course there was max preggers tail waifu, tsundere Big D Energy magic puppers, and Atugia. (She's okay, just the others seem to have a great deal more driving personality and presence, sweet tats or not.)

So when Arona angrily exclaimed something along the lines of "not fighting for who is on top like a bunch of gnolls" regarding building her back up I was sorta.. nonplussed. I mean, wasn't that how the Champion and her basically met and potentially shagged a bunch of times? That was the spark that started the fire and all that.

I guess for me it the most fun was the journey, not the destination-- as a Beta, Arona is passive and doesn't take matters into her own hand regarding the champion unless explicity told, and as a Alpha she's pretty much exactly what you would expect.

I suppose I was looking forward to sparring with a friend with benefits/rival futanari in the well honed art of Wang-Fu (as we didn't have one of those in the group yet) that behaved somewhere between, say, Penny and Sera from T.I.T.S. Or even our overmuch friendly pirate Kiro. A ego, will and fire that is more than willing to align their interests with yours-- but if the champ gets complacent it's time for a surprise dicking something fierce. Steele being woken up to a belly fully of demon dongo was absolutely fantastic. I guess it would be a hard sell for some players, but I kind of enjoy the notion of not controlling every absolute action of a given character. *shrugs* I wasn't looking for a toy, or a new boss. I mean, she's a badass futanari-- so I was looking forward to a orc warrior babe with a little extra. Hur. Hur.

So Arona, who seemed inclined to make a friendly competition out of anything, be it valor in battle, or taking and/or recieving the meat mambo seemed to fit the bill. And not without her own faults, either. I can see the brash over confidence resulting in more than a few accidental charges into the middle of a tentacle nest.

One of my favorite Brint scenes was during a victory/defeat the guy was so pent up he just unloaded the hose of man'otaur gunk on the champion. Surprise! Heck, it could have been fun to have the option to be just as 'playful' back.

This got way longer in the tooth than I anticipated. Not really looking to change things or upset the applecart either, I just found myself musing about it while stuck indoors. Because obvious reasons. So I wrote about it.

Have a great day and stay safe out there!
