Makes the player that went out and made their own fortune with a shit ton of connections all the better for them while Jill screams in frustration as she did nothing at all except go and find the probes which led to nothing at all.

Thats how I think the game's gonna end. After all I did read the Trials in Tainted Space Outline Doc thing some odd years ago. Said something around those lines. That would be a great ending to a good game.

I don't really see the appeal in roleplaying somebody else's character. But that's cool.

You know, there are a lot of games where you are playing someone else's character. Any game with railed plot, basically. At least, it gives an idea to replay with different style.
