Anything similar to Kimochi?

Hey guys, so I don't know how many of you played with Kimochi when it was around, but it was basically a Launcher for adult games, kinda like steam but for adult games only. I liked the Launcher, however, it unfortunately had to shut down due to lack of funding.


I was wondering if anyone knows if there is anything similar out there atm?

Not really there isn't, there is something called itch io or something like that in name but it has more than adult based games on there and good luck searching for 18+ adult games there.

No, Kimochi was probably the best chance for this sort of thing we're likely to get in the foreseeable future. There just doesn't seem to be a market capable of supporting the the startup and operating costs that such a distribution platform requires.

There would need to be a big company backing it up.  For all the silliness I hear about sites like Pornhub and their sponsorship deals, this is one thing that they could legitimately do that I think would actually be useful.

There was some articles a while back Nutaku is pushing to become Adult Steam and it will eventually have a proper launcher later this year.

Also, it seems Kimochi foudn a way to stay afloat after all.


They can't say how yet, but the launcher is still running..


But LFox news make me wonder if Nutaku is behind their recovery or if another company is involved.. Quite mysterious so far.

Didn't they say that the launcher would still work, but the servers were going down?  I never got the service myself, so I can't really check.

Who says they would be DRM'd? Steam really doesn't do that. If there's any DRM its being done by the developer of the game. example, Ubisoft is notorious for doing this, especially with the ANNO series of games.

The point of Kimochi is that it makes it easier to find intresting games and taht it makes easier for producer to earn money through games - without being forced to use patreon.


I found games through it that completly flew past my radar, it also lacks the theming some forums have (i.e some people dislike advertising on fenoxo.com since the don't reallly ike the FenCorp games and thus think their game has little chance of being intresting for the people here). There rules for games are also more relaxed than the one here. ^^


and @TheDarkMaster the client won't work if the servers are shut down, they only wanted to keep the forum alive.
