Ants among the stars

Been wondering this for a while now, mostly out of curiosity. Apart from the obvious "nobody wrote it yet", is there any in-game reason as to why the inhabitants of Myrellion haven't taken to space like other species discovered during the rush (like the Zil, the Gabilani, the Raskvel or the Zaika, for example) did?

I know the fact that they're living on something akin to the later XX-early XXI terran century (unlike at least two other species i mentioned, which have a more "modernized" society) and in the middle of a world-wide cease fire is a huge factor to it, but there's a lot of other ways to go off-planet, as we've seen on many cases with other characters through the game

How many Zil are there off Mhen'ga? The Call Girl and Tvif (who is a slave, so) are the only ones that come to mind. I can't think of a lot of Raskvel, either. Gabilani seem to be the most common off their homeworld.

I seem to recall it's illegal to sell starships to Myr at the moment, though that might be in the supplementary material. And you can send a bunch of Myr to Mhen'ga if you play your cards right.

Steele can't go to Gildenmere or Kressia without a permit. I wonder if a permit is necessary for Myr to get to the spaceport.

iirc, Gabtown on Dhaal also has some sort of small Rask population, though not as big as the Gabilani one. Also, now that i think about it, Zil were a bad example, since most were smuggled or enslaved off Mhen'ga

I suppose so. Emmy flat out refuses to sell stuff to you if your Steele is one of the Myrellion species, so it's probably the same with spaceships. Also, i was under the impression that the Gold Myr you send out during FederationQuest were only taken off-world by not exactly legal means (Kara's ship, for example), but i guess i was wrong

I feel lik is more like the permit is needed to get off-world rather than just get to the spaceport, which is already teeming with Myr pilots, if the landing scenes on Myrellion are anything to go by. Also, I think Juro said something similar during the myr hybridization quest, but i don't remember much, tbh

Juro did help a red myr and her orange myr daughter get off-world using diplomatic priority, so it's certainly possible to let them off-world legally, there's just probably restrictions, a waiting list, or both.
