An "unremarkable" thread

So I've been a long time lurker CoC and now TiTS player, and so far I'm completely in love with how everything is handled in TiTS save for one thing...

Why is it that your default eyes get a really boring adjective that make you feel bad about your characters ocular features? I always thought this was an odd choice and perhaps it's just a placeholder, I don't know.

Even when I changed my eye color from brown to sapphire via Sylvanol Au Lait they still retained the unremarkable adjective.

Some people do like to play through these games as humans rather than doing transformations, I think it's fair to give them equal attention into how their features are described.

That is all, I'll go shitpost somewhere else now...oh wait I'm banned from Gaia...

Nevermind! Thank you for your time.

They mean unremarkable in the sense that they're regular human pupils and sclera. If you were a Myr or a Leithan, you'd have crazy alien eyes instead.

Still, that choice of word personally makes me feel bad about my character that I otherwise love.

Instead of unremarkable they could of chose words like "piercing" or "striking", just as a couple examples, I hope this doesn't sound all too whiny.

Several things to say:

1. Hi welcome!

2. Shit posting is great!

3. I actually changed my eye color to gem stone colors and they were usually positive adjectives. Like "shimmering ruby eyes" or something. My vanae morph also has these descriptive eyes "Like twinkling beacons, glowing gold eyes seem to draw the attention of everyone around you."

4. All said and done, I agree!

I don't think so, they really are very un-descriptive. Tell you what, when I have time I'll test out a bit with rainbox and see if I can get description on other colors.

EDIT: And sure enough I found a few

"Metallically glistening silver eyes allow you to take in your surroundings without trouble. "

"Like jewels, shimmering crimson eyes allow you to take in your surroundings without trouble. "

I couldn't get sapphire to proc but oh well.

To be fair, NPCs' description also rarely focus too much on their eyes, unless they're of 'crazy alien' variety. Either writers don't find them that important, or prefer to leave it to players' interpretation.

My personal minor pet peeve when it comes to Steele's description is the lack of details in their constitution's and tone description.

Yeah, the closest thing you get to having the game mention your constitution /body build in the char description is when it mentions your hips and ass. One of my mains is a chubby/husky catgirl (because not everything in porn has to have unrealistic proportions (this coming from the fucker that has to run around with a cock that's barely small enough to fuck Irellia's front vagina but big enough to be considered giant)), and I love running around as the most adorable character ever, but I mean it's not the end of the world if my character's not described as husky or chubby, though I'd love if that was the case.
