An item to change scale colour?

Recently wanted to get a full dragon look, which atm means I must use the Frostwyrm Ichor to get the right look (full body draconic Scales, digitigrade, hand claws and longer horns) as it's the only one that does it. However I do not want the default white scales and blue skin. Is there a item that allows me to change the colour of the scales and skin to a specific one I want? Similar to Pleasure Paint or Pickmentation.

I tired checking the wiki and all I found was Rainbowtox but its completely random and can change multiple things at once, it also doesn't have that many colours in comparison to others. I also dunno if its an oversight or not but trying to use Pickmentation says that it doesn't work when your covered in scales but using rainbowtox it does it regardless? If its not then why doesn't Pickmentation work like that?

Apparently, there was an attempt at some point to write a dedicated item for changing scale color, but it was rejected. It's entirely possible to write such a thing as part of an existing item, but it'd likely be a tedious process. Either they get to it eventually or someone does it themselves and hopes it gets approved.

Yeah, Rainbowtox is your only option. Just save before using it and savescum until you get a color you’re happy with. For reference, I’m also playing as a dragon and ended up doing exactly that. It was tedious but I got a result I was happy with in the end.

Or use the Console (F12).
pc.scaleColor = 'whatever'

There really should be a Scale Color item by now. It seems like such an obvious item to have. Or have Ceria do it.
The only thing I can think of is a lot of the races with Scales (or Chitin) give a point for having a 'correct' color.

The game has a Console? Pressing F12 doesn't do anything for me, nor any of the other F numbered keys.

Unfortunately that does seem to be the case x-x I saved scummed to get a close enough scale colour in the end but I still haven't been able to change the skin without changing anything else with it yet. The pain is real lol

Something I use when I am trying to make the perfect customized character is a program on my laptop called Notepad. If you go to the save section of the game there is a button that says 'save to file' that will save a copy of the game you are currently playing to the Downloads section of the PC's Library that you can then choose to open in the Notepad program which will basically turn your save file in to a readable text document that has all the info about your current game. Once you have the file open you can do Control + F and a search box will pop up on the document. In the search box you can type either scale or skin and it will take you to and highlight the section of the document that includes the scale color or skin tone then in between the quotation marks that fallow "skinTone": you can erase the color that's there and type in any color you want even if you can't actually get the color through items in the game.

Example = "scaleColor":"blue" can then become "scaleColor":"crimson"

I hope this helps.
