As a Tech, using your shield recharge over time talent is a good way to keep her from obliterating you if you don't have any other healing or defense-boost items on hand.
In my experience, Amara is too stunlock happy for this to be particularly viable.

Maybe we should stop it calling "easy mode" just something like "only for real motherfuckers" :allears:

Ehh I miss time when there will be enemy even tougher than Amara and all will be then like: ohh Amara was easy but X is truly OP af.

I'm level 8, my Aim and Reflexes are 33 each and the other stats are 14...
Go to the gym on New Texas, it raises all but Willpower and Intelligence, and simply talking to Syri on books will raise Int (its a long process but it'll max out everything but Willpower in the end-Edit- Which is 40, can't go higher). Also, are you packing any Gold Myr honey(?) cuz that stuff is so sooo useful to a tech, the defense of Crystal Shard sold by the Nyrean near the queen, will also help.

You may also want to invest in Dr. Badger's Bimbo Ray Gun and Bimbo Siegwolfie. If you've done whatever to get rid of Dr. Badger and can't reach Uveto yet then you're likely geared for it, there is also Shields sold by the nurse droid in the gold myr area, will help. And finally, get the buffs offered in Tavros station with the centaur girl and dance instructor.

Your Gray Goo armor should help you in this fight, if you have it. If you don't, go around the caverns until a crystal goo attacks and teach her the defense buff. That is, after you acquire said armor on Tarkus.

Another Late Edit: While getting the honey, purchase some their wine while you're at it, gives bonus energy.

I'd reccomend Pexiga saliva (available after recruiting Yammi and some talks). It regenerates 70 energy points whilst Gold Myr nectar regenerates 55.

You can only carry one saliva, so take both if you've the inventory? Edit: I'd still recommend the Gold Myr Nectar over it if he had to choose, as he can hold 10 of it versus 1 Pexiga Saliva. and this is a battle of endurance and lust that I've set him up with.

TiTS kinda pretends that it's a game with builds but it's not. You're expected to if not max your stats then keep them all p. high for the few tough bosses; otherwise you'll expectedly and rightfully be turned into swiss cheese when you try to shake your booty in the middle of a firefight.

Spoiler: Amara can be defeated by a level-appropriate character, with level-appropriate stats and level-appropriate gear (ie things available prior to embarking on the events leading up to the fight).

I know this because I used said character to balance the fight in the first place.

Thanks for the help, everyone. I learned several things I didn't know, such as the fact that stats can be increased outside the leveling system and that easy mode can be toggled on and off. Both are unusual features compared to most games I've played but they're certainly helpful! Also that you can seduce her to victory, which still doesn't make much narrative sense but it does work on easy mode. I still like my idea that you could buy time for Kara to lift her with a loading magnet crane, survive 5 rounds with Ms Unkillable and then a no-XP escape as an option if you can't beat her physically. It makes more sense to me than "you bounce your tits at her until suddenly the weapon that didn't scratch her paint before suddenly forces her over the edge!", but that's me.

I learned so much from this thread, though, that I decided to delete my character and restart using more of what I've learned. I'll be hell on wheels by the time I get to her this time!

Teasing not making sense in the setting is an ongoing tonal/lore/mechanical issue that's slowly being kinda-sorta dealt with by lust weapons.

She's a boss fight. She's intended to be really, really difficult. This is a pretty funny thread, though. Good job!

I was curious of how badly I could get thrashed brute forcing the Amara fight with a Tech Specialist so I rolled a new character to find out. I'll admit, this took waaaay longer than using the ranged Merc to just faceroll the entire fight. I started getting nervous when she brought down my shields once and then again after a power surge. Kara was almost down by the end but my Tech came out it with a good amount of health left. Yeah I won, but it was a hell of a fight for the tech.

Replaying the fight with all tease at 100 and wearing about +8 sexiness in gear and bimbo Siegwulfe, the entire fight took 4 rounds. Didn't bring any healing/stamina restoratives because that's how I roll.

Overall, I really like all these changes to the Tech Specialist perks, it is nowhere as annoying to play as it was in the past. (I didn't go melee though because fuck that, I want to zap things).

In my latest playthrough, where i sort of decided to get that sweet Icy Veins with 160 shields build i fought her with my techie, while suffering from Red Myr Venow Withdrawal (it's kind of bugged atm, since venom isn't flushed out of Steele's system). After like a hundred retries i finally did it. That was... an interesting experience. Frost Wyrm is easy in comparison.

Still under the influence of the venom but are having withdraws? I'd suggest submitting that here, with the save attached. The rules there ought to be enough to give a proper submission.https://forum.fenoxo.com/forums/bug-reports.9/

Also Easy mode is a thing that exists in the options.

I think I may have to try this.
My tech has been blown away 15 times. I'm generally only managing to get her to 50% lust after 3 teases. After that I get stunned or blinded and spend the rest of the fight trying and failing to recover and getting shot endlessly. Have tried the goozooka but it misses most of the time or I get blinded.
Admittedly my tease wasn't really leveled at all this play through.

I've beaten the fight by adding 200 health with the editor and noticed with the higher health she never really seems to try to stun me. Very strange.

I'll level up tease more the next time I play.

I would recommend the Slut Ray for techs, it deals much more reliable damage than the Goozooka.

Thats debatable. The tease rating on slut ray is much lower than goozooka. The only real advantage it has over goozooka is that it will trigger overcharge's stun or volley's blind, which can be a lifesaver against the slutlock happy Amara.

The slut ray unarguably deals more reliable damage, it doesn't miss as much. Whether it is a better weapon overall is not relevant, as he was having trouble hitting with the goozoka, and I was suggesting a solution to that problem. The Ray is also boosted by any tech perk for ranged weapons, which is something the 'zooka doesn't have.

You may be confusing the Goozooka with something else. The Goozooka is a key item that gives you a special attack which uses vials of grey goo as ammo and can't interact with Overcharge.

Goozooka using ammo so PC need to take goo saples with it to KQ2 but any range weapon dealing lust dmg not making more space than one slot (since aside Amare rest of run would be better done with other normal weapon).

1) As others noted above, it's Goovolver, not Goozooka.

2) The only real advantage of the slut ray for Techies is the additional Blind effect it can apply during Volley. Otherwise, even with Gun Tweaks it's less damage. Miss chance is identical, and the 1% crit chance it has is negligible.

3) The Bimboleum Emitter you get to loot is the ultimate Techie Lust Gun atm, with 16 base damage, Energy weapon flag and 2% crit chance.

Also none of the lust based energy weapons (slutray, advanved slutray and bimboleum emitter) work with overcharge.

Shouldn't it due to been labeled as energy type of weapons count too toward working with techs specials req. energy weapons then? Or their would just loose their energy type weapon flag?

Not really. The normal energy weapons have both the "Energy Weaponry" Damage Flag and "Energy Weapon" Special Flag while the lust variant only have the "Energy Weapon" Special Flag.

So tech specials req. "Energy Weaponry" not "Energy Weapon" to work? Ahh their made it slight more complicated. Two types of energy weapon(ry) flags. *sarcastic laugh*
