A war zone is no place for the pregnant

Been with the game for about a year now and there’s always been one thing bothering me the most. Briha and Lys being stuck in No Myr’s Land. Especially when Briha has pregnancy content. So I want to do something about it. My plan is to write a pregnancy event for Lys similar to what Briha has. After pregnancy, they would get a new talk option to get them to a safer place because of their pregnancy. They can’t return to Myr society due to the whole “deserter” incident.
This is not gonna fly with adding two more crew mates and I really don’t want to write that either, so the plan for now would be to make them staff at the Nursery. Zheniya could use some coworkers to help out. I want to either get them a room to share between the two of them OR have them room with Zheniya since they would all be working at the same place and could split the rent. This allows the player to come and “visit” them on their off hours. The current sex scenes could still work with minimal changes too so no content is cut after the transfer.

The one thing I see is that Gold Myr aren't all fertile - only the queens are. Thus it does not make sense for Lys to get pregnant, as she is not a queen.
I think what should happen to Lys is that Steele should evac her to Mhen'ga, where she could open a flower store in the Gold Myr embassy entrance. Ideally, there should be a series of evolutions of that store, from a simple stand to Lys eventually being in charge of an interplanetary flower supply and distribution company.
Since Bhira was a dancer before the war, it might be interesting for her to have a few options for her path:
Caretaker in the nursery
Dancer at Beth's Broads
Dancer with the Love Stars (or choreographer)
Dance studio (possibly with Flynn)

Counterpoint: queens are physically indistinguishable from normal gold myr until their first pregnancy, and it's entirely possible for a potential queen to go her whole life without finding out simply because she never got pregnant. In fact, Lilianna has been confirmed to be such a potential queen, so there's no in-universe reason Lys couldn't be one as well.

counter-counterpoint: Lys is not a virgin the way Lilianna is/was. of course, any insemination might not have taken, but really?

latent queens are rare and the one is already pushing it

Where did you get that idea? I don't recall it from any of her dialog (though it's been a while, and the fact that some dialog is not repeatable prevents me from exhaustively checking), and it's not listed in her Wiki entry. Moreover, the above argument that she's not a virgin, so were she a queen she'd likely be pregnant also holds here.

Could be explained by simple porn logic. Only main character cum was able to knock her up for whatever reason, no need for deep lore.

Savin said so (according to the first of these two, he thinks her author, Gardeford, mentioned it):

Yeah, Lys isn't a virgin, but she's never had sex with a cock-wielder before:
Code:
var firstTime:Boolean = ((gold && flags["BONED_GOLD_DESERT"] == undefined) || (!gold && flags["BONED_RED_DESERT"] == undefined));
if(firstTime) output("I-I’ve never done it with a " + pc.mf("male","real dick") + " before, so please be gentle,”</i> she requests.");
else output("J-Just like last time?”</i>, she asks.");
So there were never any inseminations for her to take, and it's still possible for her to be a potential queen. Granted, if JimT intended that for her, he probably would've written pregnancy content for her (like he did with her red counterpart, Briha), but it wouldn't be the first time another writer has changed a character's direction after the original writer left.

I mean that's exactly what happens with Sylvie! you can have children with her before you reach pregnancy talk (which allows her to stop taking contraceptives only for you), her dialogue also changes to match it being an accidental pregnancy but she does still welcome it after realising you are an mega-rich heir.

Plus it's likely that the microsurgeons and the designer baby stuff probrably make Steele more virile than average unlesss they are sterile.
