A Tyrant's End (For jasmac)

[Archangel99]

"Nope. No crazy roommates. They're probably training or something." He says, shrugging and walking to the dorms before entering his room, which is empty.
"Well... Here we are..." He murmurs, walking over to his chest and getting out a pack of cards. "Shall we?" He asks, grinning.

 

[jasmac]

"We shall." Sadie grins back, seating herself at the nearest spot and taking Amara and Reava along with her.

 

[Archangel99]

"Alright then. Sadie, you're the dealer." He says, grinning as he hands her the cards and sits down opposite her, with Amara on Sadie's right, and Reava on the left.

 

[jasmac]

"Title accepted." Sadie says with a gracious smile, splitting the deck into two. She doesn't try anything too fancy, subtly afraid of turning their game into 52 Pickup. Setting her thumbs inwards on their respective short ends, she lets the cards drop bit by bit, attempting a dovetail shuffle. After that, she deals them out one at a time, starting with Reave and going clockwise around the table.

[Well shit. How am I supposed to toss a random element into a card game in an RP? :| Well, lemme use the dice...]

 

[jasmac]

Once everyone has their four, Sadie sets the remaining cards in a neat stack right next to Amara. "Basically, Amara's gonna start us off by picking up a card. She's going to decide if she wants it, and then send whichever one she doesn't want my way so that I can continue the cycle. You can only have four cards in your hand at a time by the way, and they all have the be the same number for you to start signalling your partner for the win. Poggle, since you're already across from me, we'll be on a team."

 

[Archangel99]

He nods. "Right." He says, grinning. Amara nods to Reava and picks up a card.
Sadie sees she has two of the same kind of card, the other two being two different kinds.
Amara picks up a card and makes a "Hmm." Noise before passing it on.
Sadie sees that it's the same card as the pair she already has.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie brings her hand to Amara's discard pile, fishing around for the matching card as she gives up one of the two different ones to whoever's next.

The next card is not the one she's looking for.

 

[jasmac]

She gives it up, sneaking a peek at Poggle to see if he's giving her any signal.

 

[Archangel99]

He's still looking down at his cards, his expression on of mild annoyance.
The next card Amara picks up, she makes a face before handing it around to Sadie. It isn't the one she needs. Again.

She passes it along, and continues to pass cards along until it's the one she needs, making a habit of looking up at Poggle for every other card.

 

[Archangel99]

After three more cards, she gets all four that she needs, and she looks up to catch Poggle staring at her inconspicuously before raising an eyebrow slightly and glancing down while frowning when Amara looks up.

[Discern Realities: 8 Vs. 5. Win.]

"HA! CAUGHT!" Amara yells, dropping her cards and pointing at both Poggle and Sadie.

 

[jasmac]

"Damn..." Sadie mutters, throwing down her hand to reveal to the table. "Well played, well fought, good game." She says, punching Amara playfully in the arm.

 

[Archangel99]

"Yes! That means we win this round, right?" Amara says, grinning and looking between Sadie and Reava.
"Hmm? What? We won?" Reava asks, blinking owlishly.
"Uh.... Yes. We did." Amara says, chuckling.
"Oh. Cool. Next round?" She asks.
"I say we step it up a bit. Whichever team loses a round has to take off one article of clothing from their bodies. Like strip poker!" Poggle says, grinning.
"Why... Does it sound like you're the only one who'll be happy about it...?" Amara mutters, narrowing her eyes at him.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie's ears perk up, excited as she all but rips her boots off and throws them aside. "Thank the gods. I'll take a reason to get these things off anyday." She chuckles.

 

[Archangel99]

"And then the pants. And the shirt. And whatever else until we're all sitting here naked. Which may or may not lead to sex." Poggle says, chuckling.

 

[jasmac]

"Fine then. Game on." Sadie crosses her arms, ears flopping forwards as she accepts the challenge.

 

[Archangel99]

"Alright. Let's do it!" Amara says, grinning and picking up a card.
She takes a look at it, then shakes her head and hands it to Sadie. She sees that it's one of the cards that she needs. That means she now has two identical cards.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie keeps up her usual strategy, maintaining a brisk, determined pace, and aspiring to see Amara at a loss.

 

[Archangel99]

[Well let's see what the Dice Gods have to say about that!]

The cards change hands over and over, with tensions mounting as each person tries to catch the other at their game, while at the same time looking for their teammate's signal.

[Discern Realities]
[Sadie: 5v5 Draw/Lose]
[Amara: 6v5 Win]

"CAMP!" Amara suddenly yells, pointing at Reava, who smiles and lets her cards drop, revealing four identical ones.

"Bugger..." Poggle grumbles, taking off his shirt and throwing it next to his boots.

 

[jasmac]

Sadie snaps in minor defeat, undoing her leather vest, and pulling the whole situation up and over her head, leaving only a grey furred bra to cover her chest. She throws down her current hand and deals everyone a new hand, the look in her eyes still screaming "game on."

 

[Archangel99]

This time, Sadie winds up starting with THREE of the cards she needs!
The cards start to change hands, and the tension begins to mount once again.

About four rounds later, Sadie manages to get the card she needs! Now, the only thing left is to signal Poggle somehow...

Sadie stares right at him, hardly subtle as she raises and lowers her eyebrows repeatedly.

[Poggle: 1v5 Lose]
[Opposing team: 6v5 Win]
[Poggle is a fucking idiot. XD]

"HA! Sadie's got it!" Amara yells, dropping her cards and pointing at the bunny.
"Huh?" Poggle looks up from his cards. "Wait. Again!? FUCK!" He groans, flopping onto his back before wiggling out of his pants and tossing them to the side, leaving a pair of boxers with a very large bulge behind.

 

[jasmac]

"Dammit Poggle!" Sadie snaps again, and the pants are quick to go. Despite their series of crushing losses, the fire of challenge in her eyes doesn't change, and she breathes the words slowly like a threat. "Game. On."

 

[Archangel99]

This time, Sadie starts with a deck of random cards.
Once more, the cards start to change hands, each player eyeing the other up and down.
Three rounds later, Sadie has the cards she needs!

 

[jasmac]

Sadie doesn't bother with the eyebrows, burning holes with her eyes as she stares Poggle down. If he doesn't get it this time, she's calling up the Minotaur to split him in two, she decides.

[Okay for Poggle's sake, I hope he wins this roll. XD]
[Poggle: 8v5 Win]
[Amara: 3v5 Lose]
Luckily for Sadie, Poggle happened to be looking at her right as she was staring at him. "CAMP!" He yells, pumping a fist into the air as Amara and Reava groan and take off their boots.

"Thank the gods. Your ass is grass if you make us lose." Sadie points at him, tone fierce, but smile playful.
