He pushes through the people to see a female doctor bent over a man with a large piece of shrapnel sticking out of his leg. He grunts and screams in pain, four other colonists holding him down as the doctor tries to remove the shrapnel. She had already cut around the flesh and shrapnel, and now, she slowly but relentlessly tugs at the shrapnel embedded in the man's leg. It finally comes out after a tense moment, and a fresh swell of blood follows. Without even looking, she tosses the extractor in Ganymede's general direction before grabbing a bandage and wrapping it around the man's thigh.

The doctor being so quick and dismissive wasn't enough for the glance to not earn respect. But looking for another sex friend wasn't in Ganymede's agenda. Rushing back to the two and the injured soldier, he'd hand the tool to the doctor.

"Got it. What next?"

Getting back, he sees that the doctor has managed to saw the ends of the rod sticking out of Wexer's shoulder, and has cut around the rod inside the flesh to loosen its hold. Wexer looks rather pale at this point, and is shivering every few seconds.

"Now... Hold him down." The doctor says. Clamping the extractor around the piece of rod in his shoulder. Kayla holds his shoulders down. "Not enough... He's quite strong. You, you hold him down too." He says, glancing at Ganymede.

Even with the gruesome sight, Ganymede had no time to argue. Lowering to hold the other male down alongside Kayla, he gave a nod to the doctor to continue.

The doctor nods back, and starts to slowly pull the rod out of his shoulder. Wexer screams and thrashes around, managing to make the process difficult even though there's two people holding him down. Finally, after a long, tense few minutes, the rod is out. The doctor tosses the rod to the side and immediately reaches for his bag. Another few minutes later, and the wound is bandaged and stitched. The doctor moves off to help the other injured, leaving Ganymede and Kayla with instructions to call him over if the wound started to look or smell funny, and to change the bandages every few hours.
Kayla lets out a sigh of relief before sliding out from under Wexer's head and letting it rest on the ground. She looks down at her bloodstained pants and gives a weak chuckle, looking slightly green. "I look like I just walked out of a horror movie or something, don't I?" She says, looking at him.
