[7.4] Missing/Reverted Save Files

Playing on Android, updated from either (7.2 or 7.3) to 7.4 and now saves seem to be missing, as though the game is loading a save set from months ago.

I had a total of approximately 75 or 85 saves approximately most recent around Day 540, (including overwritten saves since 50 is the limit) but now down to 46 at Day 430.

I do have a manual save back from Nov 17 2023 back from when the Steam update happened (I've always played on Android so it wouldn't have affected me but I made manual save nonetheless) thats loadable, but that's back to Day 504.

Its one thing for saves to have disappeared completely, but for overwritten saves to reappear is quite strange. If there's a way to backup the saves or cache of the game entirely id be willing to uninstall and reinstall a previous version to see if the files come back, but I couldn't find it in the usual directories "Internal Storage/Android/data" Both the coc2 and tits don't save their files their like other APK's usually do so I'm worried if I uninstall will it wipe wherever the files are saved locally on Android? (I'll test on a spare phone before trying main)
Edit: Tested on spare phone, uninstalling absolutely wipes out all local saves. On spare was able to update from CoC2 v.3.26 to 7.3 to 7.4 without losing any of the 17 or so saves. But uninstalling did wipe.

I've updated CoC2 for years just by overwriting with each update, this is the first time saves have done whatever this is. Has there been any changes to saves in 7.4?

That's very strange. Nothing has been changed in the save code recently. If I had to guess, somehow the data for the new save system we added months ago got wiped out, maybe from your phone being low on storage or maybe some version upgrade weirdness. The saves that show now are probably from before the save system changed and using the old system data, which somehow didn't get wiped out. I don't believe it's anything on our end that caused the data to get wiped out since this is the only case of this I've seen.

Upgraded to 7.5, saves still missing unfortunately, same as before. There potentially was a point recently where I did run out of storage space, but it was for less than a minute, and I didn't try to run the game during that time. It hasn't been the first time space has been filled in the years of having this phone however. Guess I've been lucky those previous times.

It's not something the game itself does when you run out of space, but something the Android operating system does to free up space.
