I've got the swim trunks in my inventory and a cock.

I've done the swimming hole before but it broke after I left and either slept or saved the game (forgot which one).

Let me rephrase.

You expected X to happen, but it 'broke', and Y happened instead, yes? Or didn't happen.

What are X and Y?

You shouldn't need swimwear, you just get fined 100 Credits

In my testing, I've found the Swimming Hole scene to be frustratingly rare. It seems to often be superseded by the Shower scene.
The 'interaction menu' where it can be repeated only appears after you've taken a walk with Carrie and rarely, even then.
'Swimming Hole' only appears in that menu if you've at least chosen 'Build It!', starting the Bad End.

I've gone over the content and I don't think I see any breaking bugs, but there were some inconsistencies as well as some QoL changes I've made for the next release to address another report.

If you mean that the button is disabled, then that may be because there is a 3-day cooldown since the last swimming hole event. I've added some more clarification in the button's tooltip that should hopefully make it clear.

But as far as items disappearing, that should not happen and I didn't run into that during testing, including using your save. If this is happening and you can repeat it, please describe the actions leading up to it and possibly a save file right before getting the bug.

I expected the button to be enabled after having supposedly everything for the scene + waiting the cooldown. Instead, the button is disabled.

My question is why?

It worked the first few tries. But something I did within the game (left New Texas, slept, saved my game) has now caused my PC to be unable to interact with the button despite meeting the scene requirements.

Let me clarify that nothing has disappeared from my inventory.

My biggest issue is the button being disabled.

Is a flag that needs to be triggered not being hit?

Well, with the save you provided, all your character needs to do is remove all clothing and wear the swim trunks that is in the inventory. Then the button should be accessible again. So basically you just needed an outfit change (you already meet the flag and time prerequisites). I'm not sure if you changed clothing before or after your character went to sleep, but that may be the source of confusion?

In the QoL change for the next release, you can overlap swimwear with other clothes and the other clothes will be removed automatically when the scene starts (so you'll have to re-wear them after the event ends).

I think I see the issue. The first time does not require Steele to have swimwear, but the repeat button does.
The greyed out tooltip says you need to wait longer, even if that's not actually what's preventing you from repeating the scene.

Ah, if that is the case, then the clarity refinements I made to the button check/tooltip should solve the issue. Assuming it isn't anything else causing the problem, that is.

This worked for me.

Yeah I assumed the game would just check if the swim trunks were on. Not that the swim trunks were the only things on.

If you've interacted with the other pools in the game, this is essentially how the swimwear checks work (if I'm not mistaken). I remember having to refine them a couple times in the past to get some form of consistency, but, at least under normal circumstances, the swimwear checks are usually pretty strict. Wearing swimwear with non-swimwear will tend to clash and won't be recognized as being properly dressed for swimming.

Then that may be because there is a 3-day cooldown since the last swimming hole event.
It should be 24 hours, that's what I specified. 72 hours is way too much.

Speaking of cooldowns, does the random Shower scene have one? And is it shared with the Swimming Hole and 'Bad End' menu? It seems like it.

If so, a 24-hour cooldown may as well not exist, because you can't get the repeat menu more than once per day anyway.

I'm going to properly talk to Leek/Jacques about this when I get the chance to look at the older C+C docs and work out what's going on. It seems as if this xpac was added without considering the existing logic, which is partly my fault.

Okay, hopefully adjusted for the next release. There should now be a 24-hour wait time until the repeat swimming hole option is available.

Yes, they all share the "Cora Shower" (hidden status effect to track the cooldown) timer. It's kind of complicated because the checks are all layered into a single "can we do threesome" cake.
  • First layer of prerequisites is (carrieSpecialChance): if the Male Milker is not disabled (cooldown timer), Steele has Pheromones and a penis, Carrie gave Steele a blowjob, and Carrie & Cora gave Steele a blowjob.
  • If those checks pass, the second layer of prerequisites is (carrieSoothingShowerChance):
    • If the "Soothing Shower" scene (Threesome or Fivesome variation, using the "Cora Shower" timer) has been done in the last 24 hours, the check will fail.
    • Else, if the Bottle Plant is being built, the check will pass.
    • Else, if the "Soothing Shower" scene has been done within the last 72 hours, the check has a 20% chance to pass.
    • Else, if the "Soothing Shower" scene has been done in 72 hours or later (cooldown expired), the check has a 50% chance to pass.
  • If those checks pass, the available scenes are added to a list that is randomly picked with even chances, if their own prerequisites are met:
    • "A Soothing Shower": Always possible.
    • "Milker Bad End": Has done threesome, biggest penis length at 12 inches or more, can produce 1 L of cum or more, and is within farm working hours (06:00 to 17:59). I think initially it was set at 50% chance instead of time, but was possibly changed to address a bug report.
    • "Swimming Hole" (introduction, unlocks repeatable option): Has done threesome, has not already unlocked the swimming hole, and is wearing swimwear or has at least 100 credits to spend.
There were some minor issues with the checks that I corrected for consistency, but those should be how they work.

If so, a 24-hour cooldown may as well not exist, because you can't get the repeat menu more than once per day anyway.
The timer for the swimming hole is primarily for the repeat visiting button, so there's that.

With the edits, I've made it so the "Cora Shower" timer should now reset (72 hour cooldown) if the bad end is reached but you choose the options to get out of it (it already resets if choosing to shower). So hopefully access to those randomly appearing scenes feel a bit more consistent (again, the timer only locks out the random events at the first 24 hours and adjusts the chances the closer it is to expire). The cooldown will also reset after visiting the swimming hole as well, but if that is too much, I can always revert that edit.
