The gray goo armor isn't created when she's recruited. Attached save is right before creating and naming her.

I just tested it with the original save on [Game Version: 0.9.079-BACKER-ELECTRON#4081] and the armor was created so it seems to have been fixed for me at least. You have to exit and enter the ship in my case to get her intro scene though.

Hopefully fixed for the next release. After naming the Gray Goo armor, your character should now be placed outside of the ship so entering the ship will trigger the item claiming scene properly.
