I got Alante pregnant on my main save, then tried to get pregnant with her, but no matter how many times she bred my character, they wouldn't get pregnant. On a secondary save where I'm playing a solely-female character, she got pregnant instantly. (The game isn't giving me the option to save to file otherwise I'd share my saves.)

Ah, lame. I like having as many kids as possible with certain characters and I quite enjoyed being pregnant with Alante's foals.
