Well I opened the game up today in the browser version and all my saves were fully wiped, even the cloud ones. I'm pretty sure this is some kind of bug? Because otherwise I have no idea what else could have happened.

Local save slots can end up being wiped if the browser cleans the cache and/or local storage.
