[0.4.27] Critical Error through random item duplication

I started a new game, played the tutorial and wanted to sell my items at Ivris shop. When I sold one dagger, it appeared 5 times in the sell list. I clicked on it to add it to my inventory and got a critical error. I will post the the error message down below.

The dagger in question is the one that drops, I started as a warrior. I also sold both potions, plain underwear, bladed staff and the bovum cherry from Ivris. Everthing was like normal, except the dagger.

Another odd thing. Usually I just download the newest version and override the old files. On my PC I just got the new content, but on my Laptop it wiped all saves and all settings are back to default. This error occured on my shitty old laptop. So, the new version might not be installed correctly. This never happened before.

I was not able replicate this error.

I made a save as soon as the tutorial was complete. I did the same things again and everyting was fine. Tried 4 times and no error or odd behaviour occured.

It's probably a race condition in the UI code that causes an issue rarely on slow hardware. No plan to investigate further unless it starts happening more reliably to more people.

Definetly slow hardware issue. I had the duplication happen multiple times by now. Sometimes when I enter the shop menu, the game starts lagging and doesn't respond to inputs immediatly. If I then spam the sell button, an item may override others.

As example: I spammed sell. The order of items were witch corset, ursus bulb, blood iris, short sword, dagger, lycanthorn. Because of the lag the items in the sell list were witch corset, ursus bulb, ursus bulb, ursus bulb, ursus bulb, ursus bulb. Not a stack of ursus bulbs, but 5 individual ones. I just hit reset and everything was back to normal.

Two things were always constant: The shop menue lagged on entering. It was always the second item that overrode the others.

But no Critical Error message. I did not try to actualy sell the duped items and I don't plan to do so.

I had the bug occur again, this time on my PC. It appears that it is caused by spamming the sell key very fast.

My PC is fast and doesn't stutter or lag at all, unlike my Laptop.
