load error

CoC2 version is Developmental Build 0.5.27 Whenever I try to load anything into the game via outside save files, nothing happens. There are no errors, it doesn't crash the game, and I can still load saves from the in-game memory, but when I select a file to load, nothing happens and I can click...

I can't load from file, save edited and not edited, all the same. I click on open, and it does nothing. Tried reinstalling game and nothing happened. Any fix?

Uh, hello there. Been using the 0.8.151 version, which seems to be quite out of date right now. After trying to export a .json save into the newest (0.9.012) version, got the error in the title. Looked up something similar and only found this...
