How does the goo core thing work? The public update says 'you can choose to steal it and let her earn it back, if you want to play with a less intelligent goo-girl for a bit.' Does she get back to her normal intelligence if you let her keep it for long enough or is it a permanent change?

I've gone through my Notification Settings to make sure nothing says to send me an email and I've got it set to just give me a notification if someone does something but I'm still getting emails about posts every week. Did I just miss something super obvious? How do I turn this off?
