Hello, I am the person that made the decision. The decision was made to fit into my personal view of what valkyries should be both as a mythological thing and as part of the CoC2 'verse. That's all.

That wouldn't really make sense -- the PC is barely aware Mareth exists, much less anything about it. Maybe it could be tied to Taoth or Kas in some way??? Like Kas gives you a psychic vision of some weird CoC shit that happened to her years back.

(Other races can and do become valkyries, it's just that the order's predominantly boer'alvar cuz they're kinda right next door to the valkyrie stronghold)

Letting Corrupted characters live when there are execution alternatives is rarely if ever meant to be pointing towards a rehabilitation arc, but rather a "I enjoy this brand of horny and want to continue" opt-in. That said, yes, you'll have some measure of control over hornt up the fort itself...
